Your friend Connor, an aspiring novelist has been working on a book about serial killers. He thinks he has scored his big break when he finds a lead on the Zodiac Killer. Obtaining information on a serial killer that was never caught was an oppotunity too great to pass up. So he headed off to the small midwestern town to speak with this informant, Zed Holman, the owner of a junkyard. This was six months ago and you have not heard from Connor since. The police are not able to file a missing person's report, so you decide to go see for yourself. When you finally arrive in town, night is falling and a storm is on the horizon. You approach the junkard looking for answers as to the fate of your friend...

My wife and I had a great time with this room. Puzzles were unique. Game Master was awesome and really nudged us as needed without spoiling the game. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed Wrecked way more than I expected to, it really knew what it wanted to do and executed on it extremely well. The decor and space was super interesting and had some great environmental storytelling, while the puzzles were strong all the way through (and especially at the end, which has an absolutely fantastic puzzle sequence that alone was worth the price of admission). This is the strongest game we played at Masterpiece and felt like a distinct step up from their other games. If you travel to Charlotte I think it is worth going out of the way to play this game and help find the Zodiac Killer!

An absolute must-do, one of the best puzzle-focused rooms I've ever played, and a new top game for me. It's rare that a game has not only puzzles I've never seen before, but also has not even ONE mediocre puzzle. Bravo. Play it!

This room had very sophisticated puzzles connecting to the scary theme that a lot of people in our group enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this room to other people needed more than 3 players to manage multi-layered gameplay.

We really enjoyed this room. The audio and visual effects created a great atmosphere, and the set design delivered on the junkyard theme. There were a lot of locks, but in this room they made complete sense-- of course an iron fence, an office shed, or even an outdoor garbage can in a junkyard would be locked. In this room the locks reinforced the fantasy. But beyond that, the puzzles were creative, thematic, and fun. There was a cooperative puzzle I particularly enjoyed. The finale doubled down on the theme in a cool way. Don't be put off by the "investigating a serial killer" theme-- there's a moment that's a little creepy but nothing truly scary. This was a great room our group of 3 thoroughly enjoyed. I do wish the narrative could have been integrated more tightly into the gameplay. Our host gave us a big info dump after we finished to explain what was going on narratively, and we would have loved those beats to have been delivered by the room itself rather than merely alluded to.
The puzzles flowed very well, with multiple spaces visible but locked, so the player's search space is kept manageable while the room still feels expansive.
Everything felt like it fit the environment, and the set design did a great job of evoking a junkyard with an impending storm.
Yes
The setup didn't quite get paid off by the room itself-- it required a big expository summation from the host after we finished. However, the room itself had a narrative flow that worked even without that summation. But if all that detail could have been delivered more effectively by the room itself, that would be <chef's kiss>.

Very unique story with some satisfying puzzles! Definitely not too scary and more thrilling. Only disappointment was the wear and tear on a few game pieces (paper props/tape) and one lock that was left unlocked that took away a bit of our time which is why Iβm not giving it a love. Definitely still worth doing and very inventive escape room!
Unique game play
Loved the thunder storm!

Really loved the theme and design elements of this room. Fun puzzles and great music. Joseph and his crew took care of us and were amazing. All the puzzles made sense and related to the overall story.
