Camp WasaakeeMemphis Escape Rooms - Stage RoadEscape roomIRLIncredible gameplay and very silly nostalgic puzzles! Would recommend especially to a larger group of newbies!
System Overlord: Dawn of the MachineThe Keepers of BalanceEscape roomIRLSimply a delight! So excited for what KOB has in store for us enthusiasts over the next few years!
Defenders of the Sunken RealmThe Keepers of BalanceEscape roomIRLWhat a splendid room! A great follow up to their flagship with some more compact wow moments.
ReelTime RentalsDefy EscapesEscape roomIRLThis was the first room I played with Defy and I definitely intend on knocking out the others they have designed. Really loved how well the puzzles fit with the environment as well as the many references to iconic movies!
Midnight Monster MadnessDefy EscapesEscape roomIRLWhat a fun room! A mix of locks with a bit of tech as well. Really cute premise and execution. Those that love many tasks in rooms and a nonlinear flow will find this enjoyable especially.
WreckedMasterpiece EscapesEscape roomIRLVery unique story with some satisfying puzzles! Definitely not too scary and more thrilling. Only disappointment was the wear and tear on a few game pieces (paper props/tape) and one lock that was left unlocked that took away a bit of our time which is why I’m not giving it a love. Definitely still worth doing and very inventive escape room!
Quest For The Temple of LightThe Keepers of BalanceEscape roomIRLWhat a gem of a room! I echo the other reviews that for enthusiasts— this is an emotional experience. Top tier set design combined with intuitive charming puzzles blend together to make an epic experience. I don’t have enough good things to say about Riley and Josh who both brought even more “light” to the game. If you’re near Charlotte (or far for that matter) do yourself a favor and check out KOB.
The Battle for BritainEscape PlanEscape roomIRLVictory! What a delightful take on the escape room genre. I especially in the second half of this room. A great room for those who enjoy puzzles that start out individually but contribute to a common goal, and the WWII setting.
Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLWhat a whimsical journey into the icy mountains. Great use of space, puzzle design and music. Definitely medium difficulty with a lot of some surprises.
Time MachineCountdown GamesEscape roomIRLOverall Time Machine was our favorite room we have played at Countdown! It’s a simple premise but checks all the boxes for puzzle lovers. Very fun to progress through different decades. We had so much fun that we ended up playing almost all of their games. A special shoutout to Cally especially, for being a wonderful guide and hyping us up. My only complaint with countdown is that GMs run two rooms at a time which can lead to a little delay when clues are concerned and feel disjointed when one person intros, another person gives clues, and another person outros.
Pharaoh's Chamber60 Minute Escape GameEscape roomIRLLet me set the scene… the owner has a reserved parking spot in the front of the building, right next to a handicapped spot. I wish I could rate “ok” because I’m mainly turned off by this company because of the GM, not the game. It seems to be a common experience at 60 mins Escape to have excellent multi level games with poor service. (I’ve played both this and Frankenstein with the same result) In the end I’d prefer an average game with excellent service because the presentation really matters. Our guide repeatedly gave us the same clue when we asked for more help, talked negatively about previous guests in front of us, and told me to stop looking around during his intro. The game however was really interesting and more creative then most stereotypical Egypt themes. If you want to play a good room with challenging puzzles I’d recommend it, just don’t expect first class service.
Castle FlüffendorEscape Artist Greenville - Hampton StationEscape roomIRLOverall this room is my third favorite out of the dreamscape rooms at this location. That being said, it is still and excellent room with fun reveals, It just felt like it fell a little flat at the end. I wish the ending was a bit more dramatic and that some of the cinematic moments didn’t go on for quite so long. Other than that small critique I had a blast and it did feel like a whimsical story. If you liked Yuletide Magic at their downtown location I would liken it that— a cozy, delightful journey through a child’s imagination.
Curse Of The Kraken’s EyeGatlin's Escape Games - Pigeon ForgeEscape roomIRLJosh absolutely made our time here. We had a few game malfunctions in our first in second rooms so to apologize they gave us two free games and mini golf. Overall the rooms were great and our guides Desi and Ellis were excellent. Definitely higher quality and service than the Gatlinburg location! :)
Big Maw Bertha's Fussin' & A' Feudin' Moonshine Hill HootenannyGatlin's Escape Games - Downtown GatlinburgEscape roomIRLOverall I enjoyed the room, nothing was broken but there were a few puzzles that felt a little worse for ware. For being the most popular game in Gatlinburg I did expect better. Overall— Gatlin’s has great games but less than great guides.

SpellboundGreat Room Escape - NashvilleEscape roomIRLAs a seasoned escape room enthusiast it is rare for me to find a room that blows me away. The Great Room Escape’s Spellbound did more than deliver. The set design and puzzle flow was expertly done with interesting twists and turns around every corner and entire set pieces moving. Nick, Solomon, and Flip, our game hosts were incredibly kind and friendly and we even got a chance to nerd out with them about escape room design after our game. I will definitely be back to try out the Zombie room.
