I’m a scaredy cat…and this was scary…but there were definitely humorous moments to break up the tension. Our GM Jason did an excellent job scaring the pants off of most of our party while also leaving me alone to not have a panic attack. Also, freaking phenomenal immersion and excellent acting. Definitely more immersive theater game than escape room, but the production value is very high. I hope it works as well at the new location
Big Brain Labs60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLOur group of 3 enthusiasts was grinning from ear to ear the entire time. While it is a bit more in the category of “activity” room vs traditional “escape” room, there are still plenty of puzzles that get your big brain pumping in a really satisfying way. The set is so colorful and fun, the objectives are clear without being spoon-fed, and the immersion is top notch silly storytelling fun!

Operation: D.B. CooperNW Escape ExperienceEscape roomIRLA fun local-lore escape adventure that kept the two of us running around the whole time. Nice mix of tactile and tech. Our Agent Hedgehog (Lily) gave great gentle nudges while keeping us immersed in the game.

The Scary OneCountdown GamesEscape roomIRLThe amount of reading in this room is absolutely bonkers. There are some VERY cool surprises, and the set is absolutely delightful. But there were also some VERY frustrating logic jumps and time-sinks (and that pretty much ruined the experience for our group). And one hint our GM gave because “it isn’t actually in the room.”

Our GM Chandler was excellent- very welcoming, and added ambiance. As two enthusiasts, we made it out in under 30, and we enjoyed every moment.

A mix of impressive tech and tactile locks really gives the satisfaction of a classic room with the story immersion of newer Gen experiences. You know you’re in for a treat when the top time on the leaderboard is only 18 minutes left. (I hate to see when people are able to finish a room in under 30)

I do wish our group had stayed together a bit more, as we all missed a puzzle or two here and there since parts are very nonlinear, but the set is beautiful and I was *shocked* when I realized how long this room has been around. Definitely worth a trip downtown
Moriarty's ManorMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLSuper fun room with an excellent variety of puzzles and wonderful theming. Clever puzzles. Creative mechanics. Teamwork really is key. Linear and engaging from start to finish. Seems like physically it would be tough with fewer than 4 players.
Black and White CafeMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLThe puzzling in this room is really excellent. Lots of variety and layering to really get your brain going. Nonlinear room with plenty to do to keep a party of 4 on their toes. The flow is a bit inconsistent with the number of puzzles per objective, but overall we had a blast.
