Top tier transitions and subtlety. This game had us believing in magic and performing it ourselves 🪄 Quite a few memorable moments, and quite a few more memorable puzzles. Set design was well done without being over the top, and the transitions into larger spaces were handled gracefully. Definitely a puzzle first game that still holds up today. Not my favorite at this location, but absolutely worth the play. James was a great GM!
MagnificoEscaparium - LavalEscape roomIRL“Ladies and gents, this is the greatest show there is” There are no words to describe this other than Magnificent. It’s cinema, immersion, world building at its absolute finest, the set not simply a backdrop to deliver puzzles but a masterpiece of expression. It’s art you can solve, it’s stately and affecting. Pageantry and poignancy. Splendor and sorrow. This room has it all. We laughed. We cried. We encountered multidimensional and nuanced characters. The puzzles were diegetic and fun. The sets were grand yet incredibly detailed and full of life. The storylines at the Circus were tangled, yet clearly delineated - more than enough to deliver a cumulative emotional payoff. The more I live with the memory of my time there, the more my admiration has grown. To say this is a great room would be a gross understatement. This is the best room I have played in my entire life. I am smitten with Magnifico.
Pins & Needles Tattoo ParlorThe Exit Games FLEscape roomIRLWe're Skinz's new apprentices! Pins & Needles was beautifully done. Josh and Tay crafted an excellent game here. Decor was tasteful and immersive, the set was great to experience, and the puzzles gave us reason to explore what we previously brushed over. The level of detail had me feeling quite immersed, and it’s clear the owners cared about the overall experience for each guest. A joy to experience and a must play if you visit Florida. Silver did a great job as our GM!
Cornstalkers: Lost in the MaizeThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLRare does a game make me pause and just take it all in. Be it a perfect puzzle, aha moment, scenery or set transition. This game has multitudes. Sets were interactive and beautiful. Take some time to really soak it all in - TEV really poured over the tiniest detail and it shows! Listen to the custom music and have a great time at the fair. Enjoy story beats and scares so masterfully crafted. We had just the best time in here, and a certain moment I will cherish for a long while afterwards. Are you into puzzles, set, story, scares? It doesn’t matter, this game truly has it all. A masterclass on what to get right for escape rooms. Keilee was our GM, and she did a fantastic job!
La Cathédrale Oubliée [The Forgotten Cathedral]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLWe had a great tour of Escaparium's Cathedral! Such a fantastic game. The scale is unrivaled, the sets are intricate and detailed and the puzzles were in theme and just worked. The story really sucks you in from the beginning and refuses to let go. Like a rollercoaster, each new reveal and twist builds and builds to the final scene, one which I will remember for years to come. I know the term 'must play' gets thrown around a lot, but seriously. Must. Play.
Ghost PatrolTrivium GamesEscape roomIRLAbsolutely my favorite game of all time. I've played it twice, once in 2021 and again in 2023. Somehow it got even better, I'm not joking. Extremely well maintained, great set decor and puzzle flow. The feedback when you finish a puzzle is fantastic. I love the music and lighting. I will definitely be back for CarTuners.

The Man From BeyondStrange Bird ImmersiveEscape roomIRLThis experience is an emotionally resonant “based on real life” story. It goes -beyond- escape rooms and tells a very well polished story. I think it’s something everyone should experience at least once. Every second here was in theme. Hint system, theatrics and actors were perfect. Delectable. I can’t wait to experience Lucidity. Strange Bird have truly cooked up something special here. Thank you.
The Cairo ConnectionEleventh Hour EnigmaEscape roomIRLThe Cairo Connection is a solid Egyptian puzzle fest. A good game with unique puzzles make this a good addition the Eleventh Hour Enigma lineup. A really fun hint system and lots of tactile puzzles. Good feedback and unique puzzles that were fun to solve. I think the puzzles definitely are the highlight of the room. We did have a small tech error, which was resolved rather quickly. Overall a great experience and owner. If you’re in the state to do Sanctuary, this venue is definitely worth the drive over.
RobotopiaOmescape - SunnyvaleEscape roomIRLThe first hour flew by. Good decor and set design. I especially liked the re-use of some spaces we had already been. I'm not sure how I feel about the last hour. I see why this game is decisive. Guess you'll have to play it yourself and see how it measures up!
