Slaughter LandingBrighton AsylumEscape roomIRLI really enjoyed this room! Scenic design, use of puzzles, and storyline were fantastic! We’ve been wanting to come to Brighton for some time and glad this was our first room. It also had a perfect balance of haunts that kept you on edge throughout the entire game.
Mystical ManorBrighton AsylumEscape roomIRLI’m on the fence about whether I liked this one or not. Especially after immediately doing Slaughter Landing. Mystical Manor needs to just be replaced or needs a revamp. We experienced massive issues with our headphones they give you, so half of our group knew of the storyline, and the other half didn’t. Which unfortunately is my favorite part of any escape room! Sometimes, whenever something was completed there would be little to no indication which burned lots of time for us. The puzzles were unique and cool, but the lack in game audio and the not so clear induction to when something was solved and trigged something else was underwhelming.
Escape The Hydeout: The Mystery Of Henry JekyllMission Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis was a very good escape room! I am a big Jekyll and Hyde fan, so I liked the novelty of it. One of the things I didn’t like was the first two puzzles we needed hints on to get the ball rolling. But mode we got them, we ran through the room in 25 minutes. Few spooked here and there, and unique and fun puzzles made for a good room.
Bunker 46Fairfield Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWow, what a challenge! Lots of unique puzzles and beautiful set design! We took on the challenge and WON A FREE GAME, which was awesome. The team over there was absolutely incredible, even with some technical difficulties the Fairfield team was fun and helped us through it! HIGHLY recommend this room!
Frozen In Time: The Race To Save Christmas!PuzzleConnect Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI adored this room so incredibly much! I genuinely thought it was December and we were gearing up for Christmas! The set design was very well crafted, and it was met with very unique puzzles! The team over there (Christina, Frank, and Julie) were very welcoming and so kind! Incredible Customer service met with incredibly built games made for a wonderful experience!
Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - NYC Times SquareEscape roomIRLEscape Game has done it again! They took one of their most popular rooms and branched it out of Nashville!! I’ve been waiting YEARS to play this game, and it didn’t disappoint. From creative storylines, so stunning set designs, and some chilling moments. It makes for a great adventure escape room. Should also mention, one of the best rooms in the company!!!
Dr. Whack’s Elixir Of LifeThe Escape Game - GeorgetownEscape roomIRLI had high expectation considering it was a room that was taken over by The Escape Game. But unfortunately it was a let down for my group and I. Design was quite nice, but not very well kept. Gameplay was mostly key and lock, with some neat puzzles. Our game host and master were great, but the game play cannot justify the price tag that comes along with it.
The Countdown: Covert OpsAxxiom Escape Rooms - NewarkEscape roomIRLThis room was an insanely unique room that truly blew our group away! The storyline, set, and puzzles were incredible in their own way. For a group of 6 who are avid escape room goers, this room was one of the tougher ones. But once you got the ball rolling in each room you got your footing and went on! Fortunately our game master gave us an extra 5 minutes which was exactly what we needed. For a new local room, I’m truly looking forward to the future of this game!
Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLVery well done room! Puzzles flowed well, storyline was very funny, and design was top notch!! Extra points for that last room! WOW!! Truly something unique that threw you in the middle of the story!!
Puppet Heist: The Hand Of LifeThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLThe most unique game I have ever played!! Fantastic storyline that really gets you into the story as well as fantastic set design! One thing I will say, is that some things were a bit confusing when trying to solve, but our Gamemaster was there to help every step of the way and once given the correct direction helped us succeed!
UFO: Go For LaunchThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLTalk about putting you into a story!! Every detail of this game was spot on and really put you in the middle of the story! Without giving too much away, there were so many unique puzzles which made for such a great time!
Tiki Treasure BoatAmazing Escape Room - EdisonEscape roomIRLGreat idea, execution of the room fell short. I feel the game has been running for a bit, and the upkeeping hasn’t been the best. The 2nd rooms screens didnt work, so we sat there half of the time figuring out if we actually did things correct. Okay room, decent puzzles, great staff
Box One By Neil Patrick HarrisTheory11 OnlineEscape roomTabletopWow! Just wow! Without giving too much away, this exceeded my expectations and really took this to a new level. Bravo to the creators and Mr. NPH himself on such a beautifully crafted game!
Jurassic EscapeEscape The Room - ManhattanEscape roomIRLFantastic room! Design element was on point and did well of assisting with the storyline. Puzzles were also very unique and fun. Some things didn’t work, but it didn’t derail our experience by much. Highly recommend this room for those who are fans of the movie. An Easter egg from the movie may be lying around….
The DigEscape The Room - ManhattanEscape roomIRLThis Dig was amazing! Lots of turning of events that kept you on your toes. I do with there was a bit more light in the first room, but other than that. Such an amazing room. Design was fantastic, and puzzles were great!
Catacombs of Paris - CLOSEDTrap Door Escape Room - Red BankEscape roomIRLWhat a room! I’ve been looking forward to this room for awhile and it did not disappoint! Game flow was great, design was good, and overall experience was great! This was my 2nd trap door room, and first in Red Bank. Looking forward to coming back!
The Mason's TempleAxxiom Escape Rooms - WilmingtonEscape roomIRLThe most story driven room I’ve done in a long time! I absolutely loved this theme, in fact, It nah be my new favorite! I would highly recommend this to any history buffs out there, very good layout. And this room was so detailed and plot driven, that at the end of the game we felt so accomplished and felt like we truly found something!
The Clock TowerEscape The Room - ManhattanEscape roomIRLI was so excited to do this room, I looked forward to this day for a bit of time, but after walking out, I’m just disappointed. This was a surprise birthday present for me that slowly turned for the worst. The room itself was not the best, and some puzzles were just open or were opened by itself. We were rushed through this game and I felt I didn’t get a chance to really take in the room. If I pay $41 to do a room, I expect to have an incredible experience. My experience was much less than incredible. *UPDATE* The manager called our party after we sent an email and made things right. He shared his frustration with us and was very nice and respectful. The manager offered us a free game and will be having us back in the future so that we can give them another shot which our party is willing to do.
Sacred StonesSolve It SherlockEscape roomIRLFantastic game! Set design was great, and puzzles were unique! The was a pretty easy room that indeed has its challenges, but once tackled the room got easier. One thing I wish was in this room was music or some sort of soundtrack, I feel that could really enhance the storyline!
The Magician's SecretSolve It SherlockEscape roomIRLThis room was indeed a challenge. I enjoyed myself, but also found my group and I stumped on a good amount of the room. After receiving clues from our game master puzzles started to make sense. Set design was also great! Room was creepy without being scary.
