The Hidden TempleNarrow Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLAnother great room by Narrow Escape! The theme was extremely immersive and loved the props and puzzles they created for this room. The puzzles were challenging and some made you think harder than some but they were so enjoyable to solve. As always with Narrow Escape we loved the pop culture references they hide everywhere. We took our friend who was new to escape rooms here and he had a blast, finding it really fun!
The DungeonRiddle Room CanberraEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed the immersive dungeon feel of the room. Puzzles were quite challenging but made sense. They were quite unique ones as well. Due to the immersion the room is quite dark so some details can be missed. Personal preferrence we didn't like the clue system which is custom clues written on the screen but the clues were still very helpful. We played as a group of 4 which was a perfect number for this multi linear room.
The Mad ScientistAdventure Rooms - Melbourne (Little Collins St)Escape roomIRLA very classic escape room with mainly key/locks/combination locks as expected for an older room. Still very enjoyable. It is one of their easier rooms so we whizzed through it with no problems. As there were so many locks, it wasn't clear which puzzles correlated to which locks for some sections which would lead us to try the same combination on several locks. This only maybe happened 2-3 times. The clue system is one where they will show clues on a screen, we much prefer other clue systems than the hands off ones (e.g. radio, voice over etc) but that's just our personal preference. Overall we did enjoy the room with all the old school locks and puzzles!
Ninja Lost in Melbourne - Exhibition StreetEscape roomIRLPretty cool escape room with a strong ninja/japanese theme. Puzzles were challenging and got us thinking. We were curious about the physical aspect being very high and how that is incorporated. There is a big physical activity aspect especially at the end where I think we really should have had a 3rd person (we were a team of 2)! Still very doable with 2 and did have alot of fun either way
Forest of EchoesNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLA great room with a huge focus on the story. Less GM interaction/narration with this one compared to some other rooms from Next Level as it focused more on the story of the room itself Loved how we had control of what puzzles to work on and the puzzles were really fun. Mikayla was our GM for this one. Gave us some clues when we were stuck, just enough to give us a nudge in the right direction and letting us figure it out ourselves.
The Show Must Go On - CLOSEDNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLAnother Next Level escape room down, another amazing experience with the staff/GM! This is very much a story room and not a puzzle heavy room. I went with 4 of us, all with differing levels of experience with escape rooms (more beginners). I wanted to show them a more chill and story-driven room, with GMs who make you part of the play. You will do puzzles when prompted as the story goes on. Our GM Matt was absolutely fantastic! We almost made him break character but they were an awesome GM and made us laugh on several occasions. Puzzles are very easy but we were very much there to be involved in the story, which they did perfectly.
PiratesEscape This - Sydney CBDEscape roomIRLAtmosphere was good, felt like I was really in the hull of a real ship. Personally I don't like the self-service/automated hint system as there are limited set of clues until the full answer is given and some are very vague we still couldn't get the answer. Much prefer the real human interaction that most rooms have. Some puzzles were good, some were frustrating (2 puzzles in particular). I think it made it quite hard due to the dim lighting, which understandably is for the immersion but you may miss a few things.

Very much horror and absolutely scared the entire time so the live actors did a very good job. I am usually not the horror type but the Japanese ghost story really captivated my interest
Heart Of The MountainUltimate RealitiesEscape roomIRLA great experience getting to do a more adventure/story driven room rather than an escape room. They did a really good job with making it an adventure room where we were able to focus on the story at hand and not focus on any time limits. The story would proceed at a steady pace, really allowing us to enjoy the current rooms/puzzles. Still had a challenge to it and got us thinking. Steven our GM was great and giving us subtle prompts of when we were on the wrong track. Like an escape room, all puzzles/clues are used once. Very cool and highly recommended for the escape room feel with less time pressure. We did this as a group of 4 which was a good sized group.

Ex LibrisNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLWe did this room split into 2 teams versing eachother doing the same rooms parallel to each other. The staff/GM were amazing! They really got you immersed into the game and story and really made you feel part of the story! Had so much fun with the GM narrating alone. The puzzles were fun and was our first room to have non-linear puzzles.

UndetectedNarrow Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLTheme was very cool and love the popculture references. They were fairly easy puzzles but they were fun to solve! Our first digital-puzzle focused so interesting to see the variety of puzzles they created. The staff are super lovely and great!

As the puzzles are linear every one had to wait for one puzzle to be done to move onto the next. Highly recommend with less people. Overall the puzzles were easy - med, cartel theme was really cool

My partner did the day version with their younger siblings and I did the night version with a friend but the night version felt more immersive with the different light affects. Loved this room and a cute story
The Legend of the SwordEscape Hunt - SydneyEscape roomIRLOne of their newer rooms at Escape Hunt. You do split into two teams in two different rooms and stay like that for the majority of the game. Really didn't like the split as we had the 'easier' room and blitzed it in no time, which meant we were relying on the other team to solve theirs before doing any thing. I'm not sure how difficult the puzzles were on the other side so I can't speak for that but it was deemed the 'harder' side. Definitely play this room with all experienced players as suggested.
