The Fun HouseCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLAnother banger from Cross Roads Escape Games, I can definitely see this being great with younger kids if you have them. Very lighthearted experience and had lots of laughs, definitely reccomend if you are just starting out.
Black DragonEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLAnother really well designed room. Puzzles were a little better than Atlantis and set design was just as immersive. I will say there is a lot to do, and there is a lot to overlook. GM being with us was not as akward I will say, there was a level of immersion with the GM to be in the room with us.
AtlantisEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLReally pretty and well designed room. Some puzzles can be skipped pretty easily by brute force and one of our team members broke a part of the set. Overall puzzles were decent, but the group was split on them. Really what sold us was the room design it was really awesome.
ChronostopiaChronos Escape RoomEscape roomIRLVery charming and well thought out room. Can tell there was a lot of effort in the design and puzzle flow as well. Great for a quick game or for children.
The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLA MUST PLAY ROOM EVEN IF YOU'RE SCARED OF HORROR ROOMS!! Definitely in the top 5 for me. Immersion was it's best suite and puzzles were unique and interesting. Do with people that get scared easy :)) makes the experience a whole lot enjoyable. Puzzles were easy to connect and flow through each of them, and fit the theme well.
The Invention Room - CLOSEDEscapade GamesEscape roomIRLGM was awesome and in character, no complaints about him. My main dislikes are from the room itself. First room puzzles were okay, we went through it pretty quickly. Some puzzles I thought were cool but, I think me and the person I did it with got stuck with this one puzzle where there was no direction on how to get it. Puzzles when you get to them should tell you how to solve them within themselves. I shouldn't be trying every combination on a lock because I found 5 other solutions. I should know where each solution goes, not trying to figure out where each one goes. GM had to give us the answer and we still didn't know how he got to that answer? We were left scratching our heads wondering what was the relation, and that kind of broke our flow because we were truly confused haha Could be a skill issue but $40 is $40 and there are way better rooms near this one that you could do, and I would 100% skip this one, felt very half assed and no care put into it at all.
Down The Rabbit HoleTrapped! Escape Room - UplandEscape roomIRLVery charming room, puzzle flow was good easy to find things to do and pick up on puzzles throughout the room.
Ghost LightMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLReally awesome room, was only in NY for one day and had to pick a room for 2 people. Did not dissapoint. Really pretty and immersive room, puzzles were creative and fit the theme really well, progression also flowed well. Would definitely reccomend if you have 2 people. Dexter was a great Game Master!
Ink & AshesExodus Escape RoomEscape roomIRLVery solid narrative driven room. Liked most of the puzzles, and had a good sense of flow in between them. Really only disliked 2 of the puzzles, you really have to use everything in the room as it has significance. Emmanuel was an awesome host!
The Tipsy TailorIntrepid Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLDefinitely one of my favorite rooms. Immersion was spot on for what is was selling, and puzzles were great. They do something really cool where you can get a high score at the end based on how many puzzles you solve which I thought was pretty neat. Bring no more than 4 people.
Jewel of the SeaIntrepid Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLBy far the best room at intrepid. Room design was really well made, and enjoyed the puzzles here as well. Definitely a must do if you are new to escape rooms. Sweet spot is definitely 4, any more might take away from the experience.
The Haunted TerminalIntrepid Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLAn okay room, definitely not my favorite at this location. If you are thinking of doing rooms I would do the other 2 first.
The Mad RapperScenario Escape RoomEscape roomIRLReally love Scenario Escape rooms for their fun, creative and unique designs. Puzzles were creative and had good flow. Connections between puzzles were also good, and storyline was fun and light hearted. Did it with 6 people, but would reccomend no more than 4.
Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLBy far my favorite room in SoCal and a must play if you are in the area. The moment you are outside the room you are immersed, and that is thanks to the incredible job done by the live actors (even the GM). From start to finish was like a roller coaster and was filled with laughs and memories I will never forget. Shoutout to Emma and North for being such awesome characters!!! Will say this is more of an immersive experience/investigation rather than a try and escape kind of thing.
Through The Sugar GlassQuest TavernEscape roomIRLHigh quality and whimsical room great for the Winter season. Puzzles were creative and unique, and hard to get lost. Flow was perfect and fit the theme well along with pushing the story. Would definitely reccomend :)
Christmas At Franklin's - CLOSEDEscape Room Era - AnaheimEscape roomIRLEnjoyed this game more than I thought I would. Definitely bring people who are new/have good synergy with each other. Set design was basic but, created the atmosphere perfectly and had its own charm. Puzzles were cool, really only good one. I hate counting puzzles. Only complaint would be the first puzzle that helps you start everything.
Dr. Haderβs Cartoon WorldScenario Escape RoomEscape roomIRLHonestly, enjoyed this room more than I expected to. Refreshing to have a unique theme, in this case comic books. Puzzles were creative, my only complaint is that its dark and it doesnt help I suck with colors LOL. Besides that really pretty set design and puzzles were really cool. THE MUSIC WENT CRAZY (I'm silly and me and my partner got distracted by how good it was at times hahahahaha)
Zodiac KillerWild Goose Escapes - FullertonEscape roomIRLThe better rooms at Wildgoose escapes. Very immersive but, pretty basic puzzles, really only one of them really stood out to me. Game master was awesome and played the role very well. Would say on the easier side as well, kind of like Sasha. Very few times where we were lost on what to do next. Only complaint would be the first puzzle, just doesn't make sense logically to check for that especially in a dark room.
Pandoraβs BoxTrapped! Escape Room - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLOne of those rooms where you can feel the love and passion the creators put into it. Set design was really awesome and had cool effects, puzzles were new and unique. Definitely worth a try. No more than 4 people though. Did this with 2, had some time left over.
Grandma's SurpriseTrapped! Escape Room - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLIn all honestly enjoyed this room more than I expected. Puzzles were cool, only one that I can recall was really confusing. Really just feel like initial room was pretty boring but it do be Grandma's house so fits the theme?
