Daniel, the owner, managed to do all of these things. His creativity is hard to beat, I LOVED his use of color as well as his commitment to putting a local spin on this room. You knowā¦.you can only do THIS here. I thoroughly love these types of rooms (especially since I love traveling to play escape rooms). The set design was SUPER immersive. I donāt want to spoil it but even the lobby and hallways are āin characterā here! Not only that, but Daniel and his husband, Bubba, are THE friendliest people ever. Daniel spent time talking with us and it was like he was an old friend in just the time he took with us! The room itself has a great storyline, unique puzzles, and your reward for āescapingā is so cool! His attention to detail is like nothing Iāve ever seen before and I loved the mix of puzzles. We had a very experienced team of 3 and I probably wouldnāt attempt this room without some experience. For enthusiasts and experienced teams, GO do this room!!
ZookeeperCityscape GamesEscape roomIRLSuper cute room! The owner, Daniel, designed this with families and kids in mind. He cautions this isnāt your room to do the hardest puzzles ever. He did want puzzles adults would enjoy solving but overall, enjoy the room. It, too, is a different spin on a theme you donāt see much of. Also designed with a local flair. This room included super cool puzzles I have never seen before as well. Again with the use of color, I love it! I absolutely love his creativity and wanting to include families. Our team of 3 loved this room! Basically, go do the Cityscape Games rooms!
Winnie The PoohMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLI had been wanting to do this room for a while and it didnāt disappoint. Itās SO cute! Great mix of puzzles and one thing that really made my eyes light up. Donāt want to spoil it! I do highly recommend this room. We did it with 4 experienced players and finished pretty quickly.
Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLThis room is a definite just do it! So very creative and not a theme I had done before and Iāve done a few. I loved the intro and the camping, searching for AZās Bigfoot theme. The Nemesis Club knows how to do an escape room. Set design as amazing, play and puzzles were fantastic, VERY immersive experience. Definitely worth traveling for as my group did. We flew in just for the day from SoCal to do their rooms and they did NOT disappoint!

Definitely one for enthusiasts. Also a room worth traveling for. The last part was super fun! Our group flew in for the day from SoCal to do the top rooms in the area and this was one of them. I love the theme, storyline, set design, and that thing I fell in love withā¦I tried to take it home but unfortunately, it has to stay so others can have the same experience! š
Henchmenās HeistThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLMy group flew in from SoCal for the day to do Nemesis Clubās rooms. šÆšÆ worth it. This one was my favorite!! Super cool start (canāt spoil it but I really want to š), and just a jaw-dropping set design. One of the best immersive rooms as well. I appreciated the different themes within the room that cohesively came together as one. The ending though!!!! Gotta play to find out! This has something for everyone in type of puzzles, theme of puzzles, and is truly an unforgettable room. Probably made it in my all-time top 5 faves I think! š±š„³
Project Minotaur - CLOSEDQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLSoā¦I have to admit this is the only time Iāve legit Iāve EVER had a bit of anxiety before a room. Itās talked about as one of the scariest rooms out there. A bit surprising for me as I love all things horror and scare factors. I can honestly say I had a BLAST in this room!! First off, go into it with real expectations. Itās more thriller theater experience than escape room. Our group agreed it was about 75% experience and 25% puzzles. Still absolutely worth doing! It is QUITE immersive and our GMs Zach and Renee were amazingly fantastic! I couldnāt believe the job they did and Iāve worked in the TV/film industry! I would recommend a larger group for this. We had 7 and it was perfect but 5-8 is a good range. If you have any kind of mobility issues or problems with crawling FAST (and dropping to crawl and getting back up-thinking military exercises in some cases) this is NOT the room for you. There were times where we could legit claim cardio workouts and were sweating. You wear jumpsuits and knee pads and they are SOOOO appreciated. But it gets hot. The puzzles arenāt super hard but letās just say the theater side of things can interfere with your brain focusing on the puzzle side of things. š All in allā¦.I would HIGHLY recommend this room to anyone physically able and not so scared they canāt have live actors touch you. It checks ALL the boxes- unique, immersive, different endgame, set design, overall experience!
El Pirata del Tesoro [The Treasureās Pirate]Escape Room PanamaEscape roomIRLThis room is brand new as in only two weeks old. The room is in English and the owner speaks fluent English (and Spanish) so your clues/communication are in English. Neat set design. Itās a small area and I wouldnāt do it with more than 3 people honestly. You could do 4 but that would be tight. Itās non-linear and had some interesting puzzles I hadnāt seen before and then a couple of unique takes on concepts I have seen before. Biggest piece of advice here is donāt over think it!
Inksidious - CLOSEDEscape Room 66 - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLThis is the other room family owned, created, and designed by the owners of The Mush Room. Again, super cool set design and the talent is nothing short of amazing. Tuesday, our game master and the daughter who designed the room is just the best. Her personality reflects how much she loves escape rooms (both creating and GMing them). The lobby blew me away so that was the first giveaway. Be on the lookout for the special guest in the lobby! The room is another cool concept with fun puzzles. Gotta play this room! Their two rooms are fun back to back although I think I would do this room first and end with The Mush Room if times workout for you.
The Mush Room - CLOSEDEscape Room 66 - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLI LOVED this room! From the start, when you walk into the lobby itās immersive! Hands down the coolest escape room lobby Iāve been in. I kept thinking how fun it would have been to artistically bring that to life! Our GM Tuesday was also the creator/designer of this family-run and created room. The talent in thought, creativity and execution was just incredible! The room is non-linear with plenty to do. It is a super cheerful room that is just flat out fun! This is a good room for kids to participate even though the puzzles are geared for adults. The owner wanted families with kids to be able to play without adults feeling compromised on level of play. Very unique theme that you should go play!!
Treasure IslandBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOur group of 5 played this room as our second escape room of the night. It had been on our wishlist and we wanted to see what its hype was all about. We figured it out very fast! Iām not sure Iāve ever heard āthis room is so coolā so many times while we were still playing! Itās truly an immersive experience from the moment you step into it. Great mix of puzzles-something for all skillsets. Non-linear. I would say 4-5 is a good number for this room (it is 75 min). 2-3 if experienced. 6+ and itās going to be hard to move around well. I felt like I had stepped into a brilliantly designed theme park or film set one. This room is a must play!
Ghost StoriesBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOur group went to play Treasure Island and afterwards, the GM asked if we wanted to play either of the other rooms at a discount since it was the last slot of the night. Of course we said yes! So it was our third escape room of the night and we were super glad we played this room! Itās a unique storyline and theme that I had never seen anything like prior. There were SOOOO many different types of puzzles and it was actually exciting to anticipate what might be next. Itās non-linear and designed to work alongside each other to reach a common goal. The things we got to do in this room! The things you find in this room! I will just leave it at that! ;)
Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLThis is one of the must-do rooms in LA. Heads up not to get there too early because there is NO lobby or waiting room so you will wait outside until the GM brings you in. Itās an immersive experience right from the start. Itās puzzle-heavy and non-linear so PLENTY for everyone to do. Thereās a reason youāre given 90 minutes! 6-8 is a good number of players for this room but I wouldnāt do it with less than 4 people. We had a group of 8 and it worked nicely. I had read that divide and conquer was the name of the game for this room and I completely agree. Super fun experience!
Clark's Crazy Christmas - CLOSEDExodus Escape RoomEscape roomIRLLoved this room! You donāt have to have seen the movie or be a fan to play it but itās more fun if you have! My teammates hadnāt seen it but itās an annual Christmas fave with my family. Sad this room is closing. GM said it closes this Sun 3/31/24 (and it looks booked up for this weekend) but noticed just now that itās open for bookings 4/5-4/7 and there are a few spots left! So, go do it if you can especially if youāre a Griswold fan! Cool puzzles and a great variety for this non-linear room. We did it with 3 and I wouldnāt do it with more than 4 unless very inexperienced!

We had a strong team of 6 with all different levels of experience and skill sets and it was a fantastic time! Highly recommend this room!
Arena - CLOSEDMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLTruly had no idea what to expect with this room. I knew intense, scary, shock collars, restraints. submitā¦.š³. It wasnāt anything like what I thought. Turned out to be a really cool experience (quite different than what I thought although I donāt know what I had in mind to start with š) where we all worked together doing several different kinds of puzzles to find the answer to propel us forward. Despite it being labeled non-linear, it was most definitely linear. I enjoyed all of it and felt it was nicely done. I am also glad I was a part of 9 that did it on its last night. Set design was amazing!!!

That said, it was still a fun, linear room with a couple of interesting puzzles. Set design is good and on par for theme. Staff and GM were super cool!

Clue Chase]Escape roomIRLI was excited about this room as it had a different theme and being from the South where Moonshine has a strong presence, I thought why not? š It is a linear room and really not a ton of space so I would only play with a max of 4. I appreciated a mix of both mechanical and high tech in the room. It had a few cool puzzles I have seen before but there was a different twist on a couple that were new. Definitely recommend and feel itās one of the better rooms Iāve personally done in NYC. Also, I like PanIQ and have played it in ATL and NYC.
High Speed NYCāExit Escape Room NYCEscape roomIRLThis was a fun room! I have played one other room at this location and enjoyed it a lot. They said I needed to come back and play this room next timeā¦so I did! I wasnāt expecting anything over the top but I was excited about it. Definitely exceeded my expectations! Super fun and a great way to immerse in the local NYC feel! Your mission is to stop the speeding metro from crashing. But thereās surprises after you doā¦if you do! There were some clever puzzles in this roomā¦some Iād never seen before and some of my faves. The high-tech ones were awesome. Easily done with 2 ppl who have at least a few rooms under their belts. For someone extremely experienced, it might could be done solo! For newbies, might want 3-4. Honestly for space though (it is NYC after all), 4 is getting to be a lot. Set design is fantastic and it is a great immersive experience! Iāve loved 2/3 of their rooms and I canāt wait to come back to close out the location!
MasqueradeEscape Room MadnessEscape roomIRLWhile this room isnāt unique per se, it does have a couple unique puzzles that I really enjoyed especially being a fan of music and theater. Itās a medium room so works well for first-timers which my teammate was. Good for 2-4 players ideally. Pushing it with more than 4 space-wise since NYC is a bit space-challenged. Overall, would recommend especially if you like this type of theme!
