The Time MachinePanIQ Room - HoustonEscape roomIRLTook a first time escape roomer and he enjoyed it! I found a lot of the equipment a lot janky tho
The SubmarineEscape The Room - ManhattanEscape roomIRLThis was just fine. While the set design was great, some of it was really frustrating due to lack of clarity. One of the locks was broken so the GM had to come in and fix it. Additionally, one of the puzzles was literally dictated by the GM as finicky and they had to many fail safes for me to be comfortable
Houdini's WorkshopPanIQ Room - NYC [prev. Clue Chase]Escape roomIRLI really enjoyed this one! Very straightforward, everything made sense and still felt decently challenging. There were some very fun mechanisms too
The Light In The MistPostCuriousEscape roomTabletopThis was such a unique take on a take home escape room. I've done plenty of Unlock! type games, but the art, game play, and challenge of this one outpaces those by far. Highly recommend
Turing Test60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThe puzzles of this escape room were pretty straightforward, but still felt new and fun. Went with 4 people and overall it was just fine
The Orphanage60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThis was pretty scary and that made it so fun, despite not having live actors, I was pretty convinced otherwise. The puzzles were decently straight forward, but the atmosphere was phenomenal
The Dragon's LairMaze Rooms - Culver CityEscape roomIRLA very cohesive room that had some puzzles that stumped us a little, but we had a great time doing everything! I went with people who dont usually do escape rooms so that made it a tad difficult, but we still got out. I'd recommend for how kind our gm was and the fun theme!
Something's Out There!Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLWe loved the great use of technical mechanics and horror. Definitely would not do if you're faint of heart as it gets very dark, but the clues were very good and made it intensely enjoyable.
Belly of the Beast [Chapter 1]Enchanted Escape Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThe puzzles were mostly cohesiveness story-wise, but because the room was so dark, it made the puzzles much more difficult than they should've been.
The Nest [Immersive Theatre]Hatch EscapesEscape roomOther While this was not your typical escape room experience and was certainly more immersive storytelling, I deeply enjoyed the thought put into the story and the way it was presented. I highly recommend taking this was slow and listening to the entire story. I wouldn't recommend for the claustrophobic or for anyone scared of the darkk as it did have a rather eerie feeling throughout. But if you want to cry, I highly recommend this roo.!
PanaceaRoom Escapers BostonEscape roomIRLI loved this room! I went with 2 other people and deeply enjoyed that we could split up and conquer. Between the 3 of us, there were more than enough puzzles to do and I loved how clever and interesting they were. Would definitely come back to do again
Wrongfully ConvictedThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLA very in-theme room, but some of the puzzles were a little annoying (very annoying).
The Elevator ShaftTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - SylmarEscape roomIRLPlayed with one other person. While the ambience was great, it was also disgusting. You get damp/wet in a gross smelling water so I would not recommend doing this room in nice clothes or without the ability to shower soon after. We also got frustrated because there were a few technical errors that made solving everything confusing. While the elevator pulley was interesting, it was definitely not my favorite escape room from The Basement
The BasementTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - SylmarEscape roomIRLI did this with one other person and we LOVED it. We made it out, but it was definitely challenging. The live actor was a bit terrifying at first, but really added to the overall experience. The prop set up was phenomenal and immersive. I would definitely do these again, but definitely not for the lighthearted
The Hex RoomCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLI loves this escape room! The themeing was great and between the 5 of us, we had a great time figuring out the story. It was a tad spooky tho
Paint Bomb MissionBeat The Bomb - BrooklynEscape roomIRLOther We loved this experience, but it definitely wasn't your typical escape room. This is closer to a series of a mini games that relies more on your agility that your puzzle solving capabilities. I love that you get splattered in paint and it's definitely a good time

Disorderly ConductEpic Escape Rooms LIEscape roomIRLI did this escape room years ago, but didn't find the gameplay or story very memorable.
