Central Bank - CLOSEDWild Goose Escapes - FullertonEscape roomIRLWe dressed in suits and took this bank by force. A very cool environment and use of lighting for a room. We had one broken puzzle that took some time to get fixed and figured out. We had a great time acting alike true robbers.
The Magic CottageInfinity EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was such a wonderful game. The design inside of the room was like stepping into a D&D cottage or something similar to Fantasyland at Disneyland. The whole room felt real and alive. The magic that you do during the game truly blew my mind throughout the entire journey. This is a longer game, posting at 75 minutes, but every second seemed to be filled with wonder. We had one hiccup with one of the puzzles not operating properly and we saw the pay off before the puzzle was to be done, but still had fun with each of the very clever puzzles. I did this with just my girlfriend and I and we we were able to get out with three minutes to spare, so it does push your mind to the limits at points. I was very overstimulated after the experience and had to chill for a bit due to the amount of things going on, but that is a good thing in my eyes. The story was a bit basic and it was not too difficult to follow or make decisions along the way, and Magnus the Dragon was cute at first but he did rattle on a bit too much for my liking during the game. Over all, if you are a fan of Harry Potter, D&D, anything Fantasy this is a must do.
The Hex RoomCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis is a great escape room for those with a love for horror films and the spooky season. The idea of being in a role of a horror movie genre was so fun and exciting. The puzzles in the game are not terribly difficult, but the facing of fears is what makes the room truly feel like an escape. I won’t spoil anything, but I will admit at one point I did have to sit down and hype myself up to face a piece of the game in front of me that truly did scare me.

PlaygroundThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLThis is my favorite escape room that I have done so far. The theme, the puzzles, the story, all of it. Nothing was better than reliving childhood and solving puzzles. I did this with my girlfriend and I and it was challenging but incredibly fun. If you want to just have a fun and stress free escape room, this is the one for you. Highly recommend!
Red Giant - CLOSEDQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLIf you are a fan of The Mummy franchise, this will be a dream come true. I truly felt like Rick O’Connell uncovering all these mysteries. The game moves smoothly and the puzzles were fun and very interactive. The set design was very beautiful and immersive.
The Perfumer - CLOSEDQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLI will start by saying I did this room with five others who were all a bit tipsy, and we were able to get out with a few minutes to spare. Being the only sober one actually made the room a bit more fun and challenging. The use of sensory puzzles was a great addition to this room. The sets were beautiful and the movement through the room was quite spectacular. Would definitely recommend for a group of at least four.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLMaybe it was the group I was with, maybe it was the room, but overall I was not a fan of this room. It wasn’t difficult it just…was. I didn’t care for the theme or the story and the progression was a bit odd. I would definitely recommend the other games at The Escape Game over this one.
S.A.S.H.A: Home Of The FutureWild Goose Escapes - FullertonEscape roomIRLThe Disney Channel Original Movie Smart House, finally came to life. This was a great little story and game. Nothing too hard or wild to handle in the room. The way of realizing what puzzles to accomplish and complete was a very interesting and interactive approach to an escape room.
Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLI did this with myself and my girlfriend. Two was a great number because it wasn’t a very large room and I could see tripping over people with more bodies running around. This game felt like a story mission from Uncharted mixed with Call of Duty. There were some very interesting puzzles and ideas in this room that I appreciated. The atmosphere did feel like you were in a market on the other side of the globe and that was such a cool feeling even though we know we were right there in Irvine. The Escape Game really does put a lot into their games and this was no exception.
TombstoneMaze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRL“You tell ‘em I’m coming, and I’m bringing hell with me!” If you are a fan of the Wild West, true gunslinger history, or just the film Tombstone, this is a great room. Very straightforward story and puzzles. Nothing was particularly difficult in the room other than working with your team. We had fun exploring the room and some of the props. We had to stick around and ask the Game Guide how some of the effects were achieved because we could not figure out how it was done. My only wish is that we would have dressed up as real gunslingers for this room.
Gold Rush - CLOSEDThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLThis was the first escape room for a few people in our group and I think it was a great welcome to the world of escape rooms. There were so many different puzzles and layers to this room. I feel like if you want to have someone experience a room for the first time bring them here. It isn’t scary or extremely difficult it’s just good fun.

As an escape room it was ok. The puzzles were just there. It didn’t seem like anything was need other than waste time in between scare moments. Would have preferred a better balance between fear and puzzling.
The DepthsThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLI will start by saying I’m afraid of the ocean, and I was able to get through this one pretty smoothly. It was simple in the beginning and got a bit difficult near the end, and then the finale was a bit unexpected and unusual. If I were to change anything it would be the final activity. If you get claustrophobic I would definitely say to avoid this one as it can be a bit tight spaced.

I have had an idea that each escape room I do is going to have a piece from this game. I have been conditioned. Good spooky theme and they even threw in some personal touches to freak us out more.

The story and theme of this room was ok. I didn’t feel like I was in New York other than a map of the subway system. I don’t know what I was supposed to uncover in the room but we ended and I was left feeling less excited than I was going into it.

I was actually waiting for time to run out so we could exit. I didn’t care of the story and I can’t remember any of the puzzles other than the final which was extremely convoluted and difficult out of no where.
Ark Of The Covenant - CLOSEDCinema Escape Rooms - Los AlamitosEscape roomIRLI was a bit disappointed with this room. With the theme of Indiana Jones this seemed pretty lackluster. The room was basic and we had a very vital moment ruined due to a mistake with a puzzle. I am excited to try other games from Cinema Escape, I can tell they have a lot of potential from this being their first game.
