This is the PERFECT Christmas room. We played this game 2 months after Christmas and still felt in the spirit. So much joy in this room. The puzzles were super fun, and well themed. Also some super unique puzzles! The prop and set design was stellar as well. As much as this room is so perfect for the Christmas season, it’s also a fantastic room overall. Go check out PuzzleConnect! Their rooms are truly wonderful and the owners are so incredibly kind.

Fantastic room! A reskin of Gold Rush that does a wonderful job at establishing a fantastic theme that leaves you wondering what’s going to happen next. Slightly more difficult than a normal game at the escape game. Puzzle flow felt slightly sloppy at times. Props also felt a little overwhelming at times. Otherwise, a great room and a fun time! I would highly recommend doing this as a 2nd or 3rd room here and not jumping right into it, just to get a flow of what puzzles look like at this company!

Genuinely, this room is easily one of my favorites. The storyline was charming, humorous, and had fantastic storytelling. (Also shoutout to the animator and media team, that was brilliant). The set design was absolutely superb, keeping that black+white animated movie theme. My group and I were laughing the entire time, it was SUCH a good time. Keep in mind, this room is slightly on the smaller side, so larger groups, I’d recommend checking out Spoopy Bones for a just as solid experience. Additionally, the use of tech in this room was SPECTACULAR. Kudos to the team on such an incredible room. Doldrick’s knocked it out of the park, and MAN can I not wait for Galactic Beef!!!!!

13th Hour Escape Room - Wharton

Another fantastic room by 13th Hour! Their rooms consistently knock it out of the park in terms of puzzles, atmosphere, and just overall fun! Had an absolutely wonderful time, and the theme was great. Just a warning, the room is VERY difficult, and while it was 90 minutes, you will be racing against the clock. We had a group of 6 really experienced players and just made it out! Be ready! If you haven’t played any of 13th hour’s rooms, I’d recommend another one, but afterwards, PLAY THIS ROOM!!!!

normally i’m easy to please. give me a fun game and i’ll have a fun time. this was the first game where i genuinely had a sour taste in my mouth leaving. where do i begin? first off the first room was right next to the lobby, so all we heard was chatter the first 15 minutes. no biggie. the lack of any sound in the room amplified this. the puzzles made no sense to some capacity. some of them did make sense! and there was plenty of room for this adventure to be great! but it wasn’t. i feel like the room had SO much potential, but due to lack of upkeeping and improper game mastering, it fell extremely flat. speaking of game mastering, it was clear they were not watching us. we waved our hands like crazy, to no avail. furthermore, popping stuff open is NOT game mastering. when a puzzle is done correctly, a group should not have to wait 5 minutes just to solve a puzzle. the final cherry on top; our host (who we actually presume was the manager), accused us of cheating the game, rushed us through the broken puzzles, and left us with no thank you or goodbye. overall, if you charge $41, i should receive a $41 experience. accusing your customers of cheating and then basically pushing them out is not how to get returning customers.

I genuinely had a great time in this room!!! I felt like it was an easier room, but still didn’t stop us from having a great time!! The puzzles were awesome and the environment was even MORE awesome! The only note I would really say would be if there was a soundtrack that played throughout the room, that would enhance the experience. Other than that, I had a wonderful time and truly recommend this room to anyone who’s newer to escape rooms or wants a lighter challenge!

I had a great time! The theme is very unique, as it pertains to Williamsburg, which I loved! The puzzles were pretty cool to go along with that! I did however feel like there was potential in the set, especially later on in the game. Some set pieces were just there for decoration, but wasn’t exactly sure as to why there were there. Also I feel like adding different music within the ship/areas time traveled would elevate the same one step further! Apart from that, this is a cool room that is different from your common escape room theme! Definitely check it out if you love history / time travel!
