“I went into Magic Universe with very high expectations, as it was #2 for TERPECA 2025. And it delivered. It is imperative that you arrive on time. Assuming you make it into the entry time slot, the intro allows you to settle in to the world after you handle your bathroom needs. The puzzles are fun and lean on dexterity and teamwork moreso than logic and math (which I love). The ending did feel a bit abrupt and admittedly felt like I didn't actually have that much agency in the choice in the final stretch before the ending. Overall, the set pieces were BEAUTIFUL and tops that of Londium; and even more interactable than Londium. This is supposed just part 1 of 3 and the entire trilogy is about 60% done. I remain skeptical about the time needed for the remaining work, but would like to revisit for the rest of the story.”

The story tells us about Sister Clara, who lives together with the other sisters in the Abbey. A series of strange events lead the sister to inform the Church about what happened there. A demon has the clergy in fear. The Church contacted Father Eusebio, an expert demonologist, who promptly contacted the sisters. Sister Clara warns him: "Father, we need help, we see a sister who looks like us, but is not one of us, she is something impious!" “This was my first ever true horror room and wow did it deliver. I consistently found myself highly immersed in the atmosphere and story. My main concern with doing horror escape rooms in the past has been that they would focus more on the atmosphere than the actual gameplay and puzzles. While there are certainly rooms with puzzles that I liked more than this, I do not feel that the horror aspect took away anything from the game. It was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in horror or escape rooms.”

“Wow, such a unique and fun concept for a room. So many surprises along the way, and a great flow to the room. Plus, I love that they are actually very respectful to Japanese culture. There were a couple puzzles that had seen better days, but still seemed to function alright. Not to mention several things that I had never seen in an escape room before. There are some physical aspects to the room, so I would not recommend it for people with mobility issues. Other than that though, it was an awesome experience that I highly recommend!”

“Very immersive experience from the moment you ring the bell, to the moment you finish the mission. It is fun for 2 and appropriate for a family experience. The puzzles tend to be more on technological side which fits the theme nicely, but there are some traditional ones too. The decor is very well done and there are actors. It is light hearted investigation/adventure that it’s easy to recommend.”

“La Mina was such a fun and immersive escape room! Our Game Master, Silvia, was fantastic and completely committed to her character, which made the experience even more entertaining. The room was packed with great elements and details, and it felt like it would never end! I loved how immersive the entire experience was from start to finish. The reviews are true you will get dirty/dusty so beware. I found the puzzles to be more medium/easy rather than the difficult level advertised, but there were still plenty of challenges and surprises throughout. If you’re visiting Madrid and love escape rooms, I would definitely make time for La Mina, it’s absolutely worth adding to your trip!”

The decor of the room, the details and puzzle variety are all superb. If that wasn’t enough, the GM is also a lovely person that highly contributed for the room to shine even brighter.
