“What a clean and extraordinarily well choreographed game. Great set, clean puzzle flow and brilliant sound and lighting. This game was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. I can't wait to see their next game. They only keep getting better and better!”

“As a teacher, this room had an additional level of connection. Of all the rooms, this one was the most fun. There was also a LOT of stuff to do. It is also the only room where I think you absolutely need to have 4 people minimum. I also like that you need to work as a team to solve some of the puzzles, which makes the escape room experience better.”

“What a fun time! A very well put together room that’s perfect for all ages. If you’re newer to escape rooms and have kids, this room is absolutely perfect. The puzzles flowed nicely and the set design was awesome. The theme was also very nicely incorporated throughout the room. Super fun. Totally go check these guys out! The owners are so passionate about what they do, and it totally shows with their rooms.”

“This is the PERFECT Christmas room. We played this game 2 months after Christmas and still felt in the spirit. So much joy in this room. The puzzles were super fun, and well themed. Also some super unique puzzles! The prop and set design was stellar as well. As much as this room is so perfect for the Christmas season, it’s also a fantastic room overall. Go check out PuzzleConnect! Their rooms are truly wonderful and the owners are so incredibly kind.”

“I love the theme. Great sense of childhood whimsy. A few really fun physical elements to the gameplay. One physical puzzle was a joy with two people and really made me feel like a kid again. Lots of things to do in parallel, so a pretty good challenge for small teams. 5/5”

“This room was totally amazing! I can see why we've been told it's a staple at many locations of this company!!! The theming was really well done, I appreciated the fact that it was a multi-level room where you go up and down. It really felt like we were moving from scenario to scenario as opposed to just going from one closet to another. I thought that there were a lot of really unique puzzles, some that require more interaction than you normally get in rooms corporate locations. This is a big plus for anybody who has played more than a couple of games anywhere and is looking for something slightly more challenging. I know that it's touted as a lower difficulty level, but I'd argue that it was more challenging than several of the other games we've played at The Escape Game. Or at least the puzzles were better, so it felt more difficult than games that reuse the same sort of puzzles over and over. 10/10 would recommend!!!”

“Love the immersion of starting in separate rooms. Did this as a birthday escape and it was so fun for the whole group even those who don’t normally do escape rooms with us! 10 out of 10 would recommend.”

“Another really great game by The Escape Game. This is our favorite franchise for many reasons. The set quality is superb, and the puzzles here were great fun. The 2 of us did get out with about 20 minutes to spare, with no hints, so it was on the easier side for us. Every staff member we interacted with was a delight.”

“Enjoyed the overall production quality of each room. Even if the puzzles weren’t too hard, I really enjoyed the look and feel of each room. Did feel technologically futuristic as it should be in a Time Machine!”

“Of the three games we played at The Other Tales, Once Upon a Winter was by far my favorite. Signposting, spotlighting, and audio cues are all mostly well done (vs not that present in their other games). It's also a cute story and aesthetic.”

“A fantastic room as I've come to expect from The Escape Game. I played this with more people than I usually do (played with 6), many of whom had never done an escape room. It went very well and provided a good challenge for both new and experinced players alike. The atmosphere, as always was incredible and the probs and mechanisms showed very little wear and tear. Overall, a fantastic experience.”

“Ryco knows how to make a room! The game play was very linear, I just think that it requires support because there’s just a lot of tasks to do some of which are time-consuming and physically necessary as opposed to mentally challenging. That design was beautiful and everything in the room is useful. There’s a point where you need to get back into the bed that the entry room is set into but you also previously stepped with your feet on so I didn’t love that but oh my goodness was the room cool. There is a slight creepiness in two of the rooms but no jump scares. Behind some of the doors you have a clown in a clown car, dolls on a shelf, and teddy bears plastered on the walls.”

“Very well done room. In my opinion, one of the best rooms from this company. The production value was very on point and made for one of the most immersive rooms I have ever done. Puzzles were challenging but felt fair and flowed well, and also fit into the theming well.”

“A really fun room taking place in a very realistic subway train designed environment. My wife and I just needed one “facepalm” clue at the beginning of the game and otherwise were fine the rest of the way through for the most part. Not super difficult but the puzzles are still fun to solve and figure out. Mike our game master was awesome. Really recommend everyone to play this, a real NYC themed room.”

“Fantastic room, great puzzles, great theme!!! One puzzle was a little finicky and it took a lot of effort to get our guides to confirm that we had in fact solved it. They did give us extra time because of this.”

“Hands down their best room yet! Such an incredible room! Not many generic locks, as a good chunk of the puzzles were actually very unique and fun! Tina and the rest of the crew do an incredible job of creating their own escape rooms and never disappoint!”

“This was a fun room. Clue Chase has just rebranded the day before as Paniq, so we were a little confused by Google maps. The room itself follow a speakeasy/prohibition theme. We felt like all the puzzles were fare and logical. One of the props that is meant to light up seemed to fail us, so we got a bit stuck on the finale. The host was great at selling the story. Recommended!”

“If you enjoy interactive escape rooms, Clue Chase will not disappoint! I will write a brief blurb about each room below, but overall Clue Chase has been one of my favorite franchises in NYC to date. I hope they open a new adventure soon! The one critique I have of the company in general is that their "theme" is based on finding an "artifact" from different time periods, but that does not really factor much into gameplay. However, there are so many positives about Clue Chase, the #1 being their staff! Everyone is animated and excited to be there, and it just makes the experience so much better! You also get a discount if you book your next adventure that day. The regular price is $35/person plus fees and taxes. Pirates of the Bermuda Triangle - Group of 4 If you just do one room at Clue Chase, I highly recommend Pirates! This was the first one I did at the franchise, and it was SO FUN! The tasks align well with the theme, and the puzzles involve you living your best pirate life. We found the puzzles manageable, and just needed two hints from Kiana when she saw we were going astray. 4 is a good number for the room due to one of the activities requiring multiple people and some puzzles are easier when working in a team of 2.”

“This is the second escape room I've done in NYC, but I have done about seven other escape rooms. I think 2-3 people is the perfect amount for the Sugar Rush room. My friends and I were able to split up and solve puzzles effectively and everyone was able to play an important role. We broke out with 25+ minutes to spare. The room was well-thought out and the clues made sense, so I would recommend it as a beginner escape room! The one thing I did not care for was the way the room was moderated. This was the first room I've done where you had to ask for clues through a walkie-talkie instead of just asking the room moderator out loud. It made me wonder if they could hear what we were saying. There was one point where we had the right clue but didn't know how to work the lock. I feel like we wasted a lot of time that could have been solved had the moderator written, "Hey, that's the right code but check how you're working the lock."”

“This room has some great puzzles in this doomsday themed room. The narrative was a lot of fun as well. There was one puzzle we got stuck on for a long time,(an audio puzzle), which is a real grind if you are not great at recognising sounds. Production quality was high, would recommend.”

“Nice fun escape room. Puzzles are fairly easy. Not that long of a game. Because it’s in a warehouse lots of noise so you’re given headphones. Annoying at first but you get used to it. Overall definitely worth the visit and play. The owner happened to be there and we chatted for a while and it was nice to see good customer care and interaction.”

“This was the first escape room we ever did at this location. We all had so much fun and enjoyed the kind and knowledgeable staff! Our favorite aspect of this site is the bracelets they give out at the end of the escape room! This room had so many fun details and puzzles to solve!”

“We liked this room but agree with the other comments on the flow being a bit disjointed. It worked for us because it was 4 of us (we are usually only 2) so everyone could solve puzzles on their own and be engaged. I have a soft spot for Victorian styled rooms, which might be skewing my rating :)”
