Escape room

This is honestly my favorite room I’ve ever done. It’s unique, fun, gives you the ability to make choices that effects the outcome of the game, and surprises that kept us laughing (that might be our sense of humor but they are funny over here). If you are looking for a regular of the run escape room, this is not it. It’s immersive (in terms of interacting with people & the decor) and the out come of the game is different depending on how you go about certain things. I can not wait to go back and do this room again.

This room is awesome. It’s also huge. Perfect for big groups. Puzzles are smart. Not super difficult, but enough to make you stop to think about them. It’s big enough where you could not do half the puzzles and come back to do the rest. The owners are also rad people. Highly recommend

**EDIT** I did Lab Rat years ago, maybe 5 years ago. We did it again (05/24) and while the room is still excellent, there are aspects of it I’m now confused about. There are so many written instructions on what not to do or how to treat objects in the room, that I’m dying to know what people have been trying while in the room. Additionally, our GM -who I would like to say was very nice, just incredibly enthusiastic- would chime in every couple minutes telling us what puzzle we should be solving, to stop looking at something, or tell us exactly how to solve a puzzle. Now, they asked beforehand how many escape rooms we’ve done. So they knew we were not novices, but this experience took the fun out of figuring it out again. And for our group who went the first time they were really frustrated. They felt like they weren’t allowed to figure it out for themselves. Then, as we got out and we were being asked what we liked about the room, they were re-setting the first section right in front of us. It just made us feel like oh maybe they were helping us to push us out sooner because they were busy? I don’t know it was a very bizarre experience. Maybe this is because of novice people coming in being rambunctious? But I haven’t felt like I was being led through being hand held in a room in a long time and that’s what this experience felt like. There’s nothing like Lab Rat out there. The story is insanely creative and cheeky. The decor is just as creative. Puzzles are unique. It’s a fun time. Highly recommend!

Fun OG escape room. Meaning it’s very mechanical, lock and key, number locks, etc type puzzles. If you enjoy solving puzzles with friends, this might be a bit of a challenge. But if you do escape rooms frequently, you’ll breeze through this. The extra challenge of “surviving” is a good time as well. The theme is spooky with one or two jump scares. If you like horror films there is an attention to detail about the characters and type of puzzles you solve that are fun. I would NOT recommend more than 6 people. It is a small space and can get crowded very easily. Our GM was very nice, incredibly enthusiastic about Hex Rooms. We did wait in the lobby for 15 minutes without anyone dealing with us. I hope they are having enough support for their GMs!

Truly a loss to the escape room community. These rooms were fun, creative, a great challenge and the story was excellent. We did the leave this room and immediately go into Chapter 2. What an incredible transition. Wish I could do this room again.

Awesome!!! I haven’t been to a room with a creative theming like this in a very long time. Perfect, classic lock & key escape room with a fun, cheeky theme and clever puzzles. We walked into our experience by being greeted by the plaza cat which was a wonderful surprise. Then to make things even better, Tuesday’s pup (Tuesday the owner) also greeted us. He then later celebrated our escape too. I wish all escape rooms had pups to celebrate escapes! The room is a classic lock and key escape room. It has very clever puzzles with a theme that is just plain fun. Tuesday, she’s the owner, made the room herself with her parents. It has that heart that someone put together with their own two hands. Can’t wait to recommend this to more people. Truly what a great time.

Really fun room. It’s nice being given tasks to do aside from just “escape”. The set for being in a small space was impressive. There are different levels of puzzles -some easy some that took more thought. We rarely have 5 people in a room (usually less). I’m glad we did because there was so much to do. There were puzzles I never ended up touching but I was aways doing something. Our GM was also incredibly nice. Had a very fun time.

It felt like this room just kept going and going. We couldn’t believe some of the decor was beautifully executed, puzzles were interesting, it’s big enough to go with a group to do different puzzles. The GM (owner) is incredibly nice and very proud of their work. And they should be!

The twist of this room was fun as well as the design of the ending. It’s a pretty straight forward escape room beyond that. Had a good time, wasn’t difficult, it was fun seeing all of the details in the decor. They spent a lot of time collecting the period correct set dec

The best part about Escape Revolution is how real their rooms feel. Inside the room felt like you were in a solid fortress. The jail cells were real, according to our game master. It’s a very fun room. Specially if you lean into the story a bit. There are Easter eggs for your group that make things feel personalized. The hint system is my favorite of any room I’ve done. I feel terrible not remembering his name, but our GM took it to another level. He was a blast. Was it worth $55, game play wise maybe not. But it’s respectful if they are paying their GMs properly. Also, just a reads up: parking is tricky. They only allow one car in their lot per room so make sure you plan that one out. They are on Melrose a block down from LaBrea so it’s definitely a busy street.
