Spy TrainerExit Strategy - NorthEscape roomIRLY’all this room is old. Everything looks hella worn. We ran into a two minute slow down because they can’t be bothered to post written instructions and rely on the GM leaving their post to come help you. And no, it’s competitive so you don’t get time back. Also it’s hella linear…which is the only way this room takes close to an hour. There’s literally 6 tasks. That’s it. I only gave it a thumbs up because they were running a deal, the room design was innovative, and the GM was very responsive.
Batman™: The Dark Knight ChallengeEscapology - CharlotteEscape roomIRLThis room is alright. Not that many puzzles. Good theming. The GM didn’t give us helpful clues even though we were stating exactly what the problem was. We wasted 10 minutes on a single puzzle that we got right the first time but it wouldn’t take.

Nowhere To Be FoundTrapped In The Upstate - Inman [prev. Great Escapes Inman]Escape roomIRLLinear room. Fun set design and story. Wouldn’t get more than 4 for a party but that’s just my opinion. The owners are super sweet!

The HauntingWaxhaw EscapeEscape roomIRLEnjoyed this room! Lots of excellent small decorative touches and clever uses of props. The ending was a bit vague and we had to ask our GM who the murderer was.
DerailedEscape 109 - DavidsonEscape roomIRLA fun combination of history and escape room. For the train nerds out there, this room is a blast! Featured some real train memorabilia! A fairly simple room, but still has its charms. One note I’d give to the owner is that maybe include some music or crowd sounds from a train station to help with immersion. Thanks for a good time and a great GM!
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - ConcordEscape roomIRLAbsolutely adored this game! Great humor, plenty of logic and math puzzles as well as observation puzzles. Non-linear so perfect for splitting the group up according to strengths. Go play this unique game!

Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - Myrtle BeachEscape roomIRLLove the games from this company! This one was a bit on the easy side and felt simplistic compared to the other rooms. The clues flowed nicely and the GM did a great job of giving small hints. The tech was utilized well and added appropriate atmosphere. Loved the humor, and shoutout to the puzzle creator who put the Hal Industries reference in there…I’d give more away but “I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t do that.”
