Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLImmersion, atmosphere, scents, sound, this room has it all. My husband and I were visiting from out of town and it was fun doing a room based on local legends. On our drive down from Sedona we listened to a podcast on the Mogollon monster, so it was fun to play a game on the topic- but advanced knowledge is not needed! This game is forgiving and easy to enter, in that it is optimized for engagement and experience rather than bogging players down with rigid puzzles or tech malfunctions that impede progress. I can see this room thrives with 4+ people but my husband and I (with 50+ room experience) were able to complete it with the two of us (and an attentive game master π). Lastly, the atmosphere of the whole place is 10/10. We are from out of state but we definitely want to come back with friends for the other rooms.
The Isle of WonderThe Greatest EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room was SO fun! Puzzles flowed really well. My husband and I found a nice rhythm working on puzzles independently and then together. Everything was on theme and the puzzles were creative. Great company with two solid rooms.
The J-Rome MineConstant Evolution Escape Rooms - Site 1Escape roomIRLReally awesome room design. Authentic props and the puzzles flowed well. Everything was on theme and felt related to the story.
Cinema 7Will To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLHad a lot of fun in this room. Pretty straight forward, no issues or confusion for our group of three. Atmosphere was great. Story and theming of the puzzles were great.
Phantom Files: The Investigation Of Lockturne ManorThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLWow. Okay so I thought Nightfall was my favorite here, but it might be Phantom now π I don't know how all the game masters make me feel like they are my favorite. Devin destroyed this game as our game master! I couldn't have imagined it with anyone else. We came here after playing all the Orlando location games and wow are these a strong set of 3. Escape Ventures is our favorite company for sure!!
Click 'N Glitch Arcade PalaceThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLWhew! Barely made it out of this one!! I loved the interactivity. The atmosphere and decor was on point. One of the puzzles in there was an absolute joy to crack. It had a couple layers of complexity, but when we got it, it was so satisfying! Very FUN. Love all the Escape Ventures Easter Eggs π
Nightfall: Creature At Camp DeadwoodThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLWow. We loved this room. Completed it with my husband. I was surprised and impressed with how long it was! I thought we were going at a good pace and it still took us close to the full hour. Shadd was INCREDIBLE as our ranger. This room had the PERFECT blend of spooky without going into the realm of being a horror room. My heart was genuinely pounding at the end π Some tough puzzles that felt SO good to crack. HIGHLY recommend. I think this one might be one of my new favorites!!!
Poker Night at the President's Bunker - CLOSEDThe Great Escape Room - OrlandoEscape roomIRLGood mix of puzzles! We brought my parents for their second ever escape room (the first was also at this location - Haunted Hotel) and we had a blast! Non-linear room made it easy for us to split and collaborate. The theme was fun and everything was logical leading to an overall smooth experience. Excited to try a new room at their Tampa location!
The Sneaky Snake LoungeEscape UEscape roomIRLWow this was challenging! Non linear and fewer more challenging puzzles. Macy was our game master and really made the experience. This was our first time at this escape company and I really liked the vibe. The high ratings that drew us here were deserved as this was an original and fun room. It was interactive, fun and a very unique experience! We'll be back to this location for sure!
Mission Unstoppable: Chopper DownLockbustersEscape roomIRLMy husband and I had a blast playing this game together for his birthday. The flow was great, and we both felt like we could contribute to solving the puzzles. Upon later reflection, we felt some parts could've been smoother (there were some parts of the gameplay that didn't feel fully satisfying), but honestly, we had so much fun that it didn't really bother us. This was our second room with this company (we also played Bank Heist), and we're definitely looking forward to trying out more of their rooms!
The Haunted Hotel [prev. Escape Artist: The Final Seance]The Great Escape Room - OrlandoEscape roomIRLI loved this room! We took my parents here for their first escape room and we all had a blast. I didn't find it super challenging but it was very fun and interactive. I really have no notes, I just had a good time. The atmosphere and decor were great, the puzzles were fun, and non linear which I love.
Servants of SleightThe Escape Ventures - Clearwater [prev. The Exit Games]Escape roomIRLWe came with high expectations, and they were met! Great customer service. Great atmosphere and immersion. Interesting, clever and fun puzzles. They clearly care about the quality of escape rooms and being part of the community. Would highly recommend!
The Tipsy TailorIntrepid Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was a BEAUTIFUL room. The puzzles were unique and varied. The room aesthetic was detailed and authentic without being distracting. Jessica was an AMAZING game master. She accommodated a special request for our group and provided a very dedicated experience. Not only did I have a blast in this room, but I was left feeling great from the whole experience from start to finish. Jessica puts a lot of care into every aspect of the customer experience, and it really shows.
Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLThis was such a unique, immersive and interactive room. From the MOMENT we arrived we engaged in what I can only describe as interactive theatre. The gamemasters here struck an incredible balance between humourous, spooky and mysterious. We played this room with a large group of 9 and it was a great experience. I have never done another room like this. 10/10 would highly recommend for a unique and enjoyable experience
Zoe: RebornEscapade GamesEscape roomIRLMy group attended Zoe as the crescendo to a full day of horror escape rooms that increased in intensity as the day went on. Zoe was nothing short of delightful (as far as a terrifying evil spirit horror escape room goes). This room to me felt like 70% horror/haunted house experience, with 30% escape room, and I loved that. My friend mentioned her friend has done this room maybe 10 times. He keeps coming back with different groups, and now I can see why- it's a whole experience, the energy of which changing with different groups dynamics. The owner did a great job of setting up the experience, so you knew what to expect, allowing yourself to just enjoy whatever happened. Anyway, I could go on, but either way this room was a great end to a great day. The people who work here are very passionate, and it shows.
Doomsday Disaster - CLOSEDLocksmith Escape GamesEscape roomIRLI LOVED this room! The flow of the puzzles and the puzzles themselves were so fun to me! I have no notes. This is one of my favourite rooms to date!
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLThis was a longer room and it was very fun. Lots of different interactive puzzles. Extremely well decorated and themed. You totally felt transported to the Arctic in the middle of Florida. I highly recommend every game at this location, and Arctic is no exception!
At The Hop Ice Cream ShoppeDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLWhile I enjoyed the decor and theme of the escape room, I was underwhelmed by the gameplay. The puzzles felt unnecessarily tedious, and a few of them required some leaps in logic that were hard to follow. Even when the direction was provided through a clue, there was no "aha!" moment for me. As a result, I left feeling a bit frustrated and tired, which is not the usual feeling I have after an escape room. Despite all this, I want to emphasize that the staff was friendly and helpful when we needed a clue. The owner who greeted us, was also very welcoming, and the lobby was comfortable and inviting. I still hope to give this place another shot because I love that they are local business who makes their own rooms, and they have come so highly recommended! I honestly think just a few small tweaks could turn this room into at least a thumbs up for me, but that wasn't my experience today.
A Christmas Story - CLOSEDWill To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLRoom had a delightful Christmas scent when we entered, and was nicely decorated. We made sure to watch the movie before we did this room, and it definitely contributed to the experience! As a party of two with a decent amount of escape room experience, we completed it fairly easily and quickly. I think a party of 3 might be okay too, but more than that would not give you enough to do. Room was fairly linear, and the connections between the puzzles wasn't always the most clear, but with that said, there wasn't really any part we got stumped on (other than when I couldn't get a lock open even though the code was correct π).
