Id definitely recommend 4 people, more hands to help with the puzzle filled room, but not too many people to pack the smaller space.

Hey You Guys!!!]Journey Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLYou can tell this is a first time builders room, theres definitely lots of a room for improvement but the base isn’t bad. The flow of the game didnt do well, and there wasn’t enough direction given for the next puzzle. It is a linear room, but linear game play doesn’t work well if it doesn’t flow, so there was a lot of time standing around scratching our heads, asking for help. A Gen 1 room, lots of locks, but that matched the theme of the room. Could have used more goonies theming rather than just the sounds, all around i think the room could have just been more, more immersive, more themed, more flow, more to the opening and ending, it has a lot of potential and maybe as they grow, the rooms will grow as well!

They stuffed a lot into a smaller space, but they did it well, with a lot of unique puzzles. Id recommend doing this room with 4 or less, i think more than that would make it cramped. Our GM was also great and put on the show to bring out the immersion, overall a great experience.
The Inventor's WorkshopMountain Room Escapes - Big Bear VillageEscape roomIRLWe had good hopes for this room since it did have good reviews on here. But honestly we were disappointed. Their hint system could use a BIG update, since them giving you “hints” involves them literally coming into the room to walk you through it, if they can even figure it out for themselves. The GM’s came in twice and we had to walk them through exactly what we’d done so they could try to figure it out with us. It’s a room in the middle of the mountains, not LA with amazing set designs, so we didn’t have high expectations for that, but i think they could’ve done a bit more. One room was just unnecessarily dark, because really the only decor was a tapestry on the wall and a cabinet, the last room wasn’t put together at all, it was just an unfinished room they didn’t want to finish, its just wood walls and insulation. Honestly all around just seems like the room could be so much better with a little effort and updating.
The Smurfs60Out - HHLAEscape roomIRLAfter doing over 100 rooms, i feel like they’re now judged on justification of pricing. For $78/person for 2 of us to play, this room was 100% not worth the price. The entire room was so warm, we were sweating the whole time. Our GM wanted us in and out, one of those very awkward, hi welcome to the room, push you in the room, and straight away tells you bye as soon as you finish, but i wanted a picture with the smurf!😩 The room itself wasn’t horrible, but it was a pretty basic room, the same decorations most places have in whimsical themed rooms, the only thing that made it more special was the smurfs theme and the voices. The puzzles were mid tier, nothing too extravagant, and for the price a lot of things didn’t work. As far as game flow, it was pretty horrible, there were a few puzzles once the GM helped us understand, thought to ourselves “we would have never thought of doing that.” And the other puzzles were pretty much just laid out in plain site, we didn’t even realize we’d completed 4 puzzles we hadn’t been told to do yet, until they started telling us to do it and we were like “oh? Ok thats done. I guess.” Also there was no music, which made me sad. Again the review isn’t to say the room was bad, we did have fun, but definitely does not live up to what you pay to play. Theres cheaper rooms with WAY better quality, better puzzles and overall a better experience!

We think this is their best room, all the puzzles were super direct, no confusion, the atmosphere was cute, and game play flowed really well for the few puzzles it had. It was only singular room, but i think it worked well for this place! Best for a smaller group, the 2 of us fit perfect and had enough to work on for both of us.

Blew our minds as soon as it happened! 🤯 The story we felt like could use a few tweaks, we kept getting lost on where to go next or what we were looking for. They went all out in the first part, but as it keeps going, it gets more and more basic. Its a fun room, with a few great effects, but we do have mixed reactions. Regardless it was still fun to play.

So many cute scenes with an AWESOME surprise in the middle that creates so much immersion. We previously played jingle bells and felt like we were playing a whole new room. All the cute little details were amazing!

There’s a TON of puzzles to complete and a non linear room. The immersion and decor were really good quality! Definitely recommend playing
London Fog: The Mists of TimeThe EntrapmentEscape roomIRLI feel this room has A LOT of potential, its a really great room. The immersion was there, as well as the decor really fit the theme and was great. What wasnt so great was the way the game is played. Every puzzle is VERY TIME CONSUMING. Which could be fine, but theres also a constant side task that has to be completed to gain information to complete your main tasks that again is very time consuming. There is a lot of time wasted trying to gain information for puzzles that as well take a long time to try to complete. Granted the room does strongly recommend playing with a large group, because there is a lot to complete in this room, but regardless everything just seems to take a long time. Again these are very story strong rooms, you can tell how much effort the owner puts into the story telling and making sure the room feels like youre a part of the story line he’s telling, so if your doing a room to feel your in a movie or in a story book, this room will feel so fun. If your doing a room to complete puzzles and unfold the story as you go, you might get a little frustrated.
The Bayou: The Legend of the Midnight RavenThe EntrapmentEscape roomIRLYou can tell the owner loves the stories behind his rooms, the story is VERY in depth and intricate. The opening video itself was a good 5 minutes, might have been less but if you love escape rooms for the story of the room, this is your place to be! I saw a lot of people review that its a lot of reading, it can be but if you don’t want to do all the reading theres pretty blatant context clues your looking for so its really not much reading, more skimming. Decor and immersion were good in this room! Pretty average as far as looks wise goes. As well as the first part of this room is more completing tasks that are asked of you rather than looking for puzzles, which we enjoyed it just got a little confusing at times, along with the hint system can be a little confusing. We were able to escape with 2 of us with 30 seconds to spare!
Elevate: SkyloungeWild Goose Escapes - IrvineEscape roomIRLI guess we played during this locations opening weekend and had no idea! The room used to be owned by exodus, but came with wild goose when they bought the location. Which makes a lot of sense because the room was very exodus made, its still good, the design was good and had a creative story but we always felt exodus was a little cheesy and this room had a little bit of that feel to it, adding a little spice could make it just that much better! Still had a lot of fun, we escape with 2 of us, the theme was something we’ve never played and I had a dance party the whole time, DO THE MUSIC FIRST! Lol youll thank me later

A lot of physical locks and keys and a typical manor feel! There were some puzzles we never encountered which were pretty cool! Definitely worth playing if your going to play both, but would recommend Black and white cafe over this one.

Theres quite a bit of puzzles that are more time consuming than hard, but the room overall is so much fun! I love these kinds of rooms, escape room and carnival all in one room! The puzzles flowed with the theme great and the immersion of the room was awesome! A top tier room for sure.

I was super excited for the diner theme and that lived up to my hopes, it really does feel like youre in a 50’s diner but i feel it could a facelift. Theres also A LOT of physical locks and a lot of guessing which code goes to which lock, theres not a good flow of the clues leading to the locks they go with.
