PrayEscape Room KatwijkEscape roomIRLNothing really to add - this was a fantastic escape experience. A true highlight was the time we had after the experience to talk to our GM in the room - it was super cool that they let us have a glimpse behind the scenes. Also the acting was next level.
The Non BelieversYour EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was one of my all time favorite games - definitely top 3 as of this day. The transitions between the rooms are insane and you can only sit/stand/kneel in awe what’s happening next. Also the use of sound, especially the element of a guiding voice entwined with the story was next level. It didn’t take away at all, that there was no actor like in most of the high end rooms. Also I want to mention that the GMs were super nice and it was great having a drink at their bar afterwards. ❤️ 6/6 simply mindblowing
Molly's GameUntold Stories Experiences [prev. Down the Hatch]Escape roomIRLWe looked forward to Mollys Game and weren’t disappointed. From the moment you step into the already very nicely done entrance room throughout the whole experience you can feel that this is a special room. It is for sure one of the best rooms we’ve played so far. The amount of set changes (some of the transitions were awesome), the novelty of some of the puzzles and especially the detail orientation in linking the puzzles with the story is top notch. I also liked that it more played with eerie sets and the dark story than jump scares. And last but not least we had a great GM who not only gave us a little extra time to experience the whole story but also was so nice and easy to talk about the escape landscape in the Netherlands. We felt very welcome. You simply cannot miss this room. ❤️ 6/6 simply mindblowing
The DomeMama BazookaEscape roomIRLWe played the Dome as part of an escape room tour and although I would recommend to play it because it has some innovative puzzles and fun gameplay it wasn’t my favorite room by far. I think I couldn’t connect to the game really because of the weak storyline that felt more of an excuse to add different high tech rooms with fun motives to each other without needing to decide what the room really was about. Don’t get me wrong - the room is still amazing concerning set, variety and special effects but if they’d add a more immersive storyline this could be potentially be excellent. Still you shouldn’t miss it if you’re in the area just for the fun. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
The AlchemistSherlockedEscape roomIRLThis game made it easily into my top 5 to this day. We played it in the middle of our Netherlands-Belgium escape trip and it’s still stuck being pretty memorable. From the great location and impressive building right next to the stock market to the first wow moment when you need to lock away your phones - there were loads of wow-moments to follow. The puzzles are not super difficult, but it’s just a joy to solve them and be taken through the story. Although I think there are stronger plots in some of the high quality rooms this region has to offer, the puzzles support it well and the set is just jaw-dropping. I’d love to play it for the first time again. ❤️ 6/6 simply mindblowing
Soup Du JourRock City EscapeEscape roomIRLWe played Soup du jour on our first escape trip and so it came with pretty tough competition, we very much enjoyed the room. The puzzles were plenty (not super tough though) and very well supported the story - and some of them were still quite unique we thought. Our GM with who we also had the chance to talk a little afterwards was also super welcoming and let us glimpse into some of the journey of the room - a thumbs up from us. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
The Dark ForestHorror StoriesEscape roomIRLThe dark forest was our first horror room - and these aren’t for us - but that has nothing to do with the room itself. The set was great and how they worked with lighting (and lightning) as well as with the sounds was extremely good - only that would be sufficient to keep you on edge. At some point it would have been great to be more people but if you’re not overly sensitive and experienced the first 1-2 interactions I thought it was quite ok and I had the feeling that the actress had a very good feeling for the right level of - well horror. Puzzles are fairly easy but given that your adrenaline level is rather elevated that’s fair enough. We glad that we did it and if you wanna try a horror room or are fond of them: ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
Lost and FoundHotel Veloria [prev. Kamer 237]Escape roomIRLWe arrived early at the „hotel“ and what was super convenient is, that you can have a drink and some snacks at their bar. So come early and have a chat with the concierge. Lost & Found was also a super fun game - some puzzles were super original and well thought through supporting the storyline. The only thing that we’d loved to be a little more balanced was that we got hints although we were already were doing the right thing or for a puzzle pretty much in the end like 5 seconds after we first tried (wrong) although he said we still would have 10 min left. Still it didn’t take away from this great immersive game and we‘l definitely play their other games when we come back to this part of the Netherlands. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
KURIOSUM - Artifact of DarknessEscape Room WittenEscape roomIRLKuriosum was definitely different. First of all you start right from entering into the game with your host/actor immerse you into the story and sister - was Norman’s play exceptional. He was superb taking every answer and got it into the play. And from the moment he leaves you, you got fully immersed into the story. The room is definitely neither puzzle heavy nor are they hard - this room is pretty much for the awe of set design, light, scent and special effects and that is totally fine for us. We played with 2 and thought it perfect as the rooms are not too big. ❤️ 6/6 simply mindblowing
Tomb HunterFinest EscapeEscape roomIRLFinest escape did not disappoint with this room. From the impressive entry / foyer (where you’re greeted) to the room itself you see the effort that goes into the place. We’ve played this room as well as their other highlight room Holy Grave in 2 consecutive days and both days reception staff was super nice, having a chat about the place. The room itself is puzzle-wise on the easier side but I found them still quite nicely done and fitting for the story - and as they were many and you needed to get from one place to the other quite a lot so it still wouldn’t get boring (at least for two people). You need the basic ability to climb and crawl for short distances. Their use is lighting is immaculate and the main room quite a grand experience. If you’re in the area the room is a must. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
Das Heilige GrabFinest EscapeEscape roomIRLI am not sure why you’d give this room a thumbs down but we were already blown upon entering. You can easily see why this room is a Terpeca newcomer and rightfully so. The puzzles are not on the hard side though I need to say even we got a hint when we got stuck but the clear fokus in this room is immersion. The story, even if a little tacky ;) was well executed throughout the play. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
Isriket [Ice Kingdom]The Escape GamesEscape roomIRLYou can see that the room has been made with effort and although the puzzles are on the easier side they kept us entertained quite well and supported the theme nicely. Only one puzzle was so sensitive that it kept us forever although we knew the right answer straight away, hope they have a look at it. Otherwise creative and nicely done. Nothing crazy but we thought above average. The location is great and central and staff was super nice. 👍 3/6 solid and worthwhile escape room
AI: Robot EvaThe Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWe found this room with a good continuation and a nice story - there was high tech elements as well as locks. Though the puzzles were more on the easier side, we found some of them pretty original to be honest or with a cool twist, so we rather enjoyed the game. We’d absolutely recommend it to play. And staff and atmosphere were super relaxed, so come here when you’re in Oslo. 👍 4/6 above average room with nice quirks - go!
Gefangen in der Gruft der Königin [Trapped in the Queen's Tomb]Countdown - KauferingEscape roomIRLThe set was really beautifully done and the puzzles we thought were entertaining (not too challenging though). You can definitely see the effort that has been put into the room. We had good fun and would definitely recommend the to play if you’re in the area. It was close to a 5 out of 6 but we’ve recently played some outstanding rooms and it wouldn’t give justice to them but it was a really good room. 👍 4/6 above average room with nice quirks - go!
Dolphin HotelEscape Game AugsburgEscape roomIRLWe found this to be a very solid escape room - more on the mechanical side - but plenty of puzzles so it kept us busy pretty much the whole hour with building up the tenseness from room to room. We enjoyed it. 👍 4/6 above average room with nice quirks - go!
Die Rüstung GottesVAons - AugsburgEscape roomIRLWe definitely enjoyed the game - the setting was nicely done and no keys and locks which makes the game more interesting to us. The story was thought through and the Game Master super nice. 👍 3/6 solid and worthwhile escape room
Grand Budapest HotelScavenger Escape Room - SalzburgEscape roomIRLOverall we enjoyed the game. The atmosphere was bright and some of the puzzles nicely thought out, though some of them reacted slow which was a bit of a nuisance. Also the communication with the GM for hints did only really work from the first room as the microphone was there, so one person always had to go back if the hints given didn’t help etc We liked the deco though and the game flow was still no nice though strictly linear and I think with more than 2 / max 3 I wouldn’t recommend to play as probably someone gets bored. 👎🏻 2/6 There is potential but still some way to go
Johanna, die weiße Frau von Kloster MoosenEscape Room DorfenEscape roomIRLWe enjoyed the game very much - stepping into the first room we didn’t expect a lot but the following set deserves a high rating. Set Design was done nicely and puzzles were fun. We had the feeling that some puzzles either reacted very slow or the GM had to release them, so it was sometimes a little confusing when you thought you solved a puzzle. But knowing you needed a little patience it didn’t bother us. We can recommend the room for beginners and a nice Escape for frequent players as well. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
The Murder of Max Sinclair [prev. Case Closed]Case Closed EdinburghEscape roomIRLWe’ve not prepared ourselves for the room but in the end were fully convinced by the concept. The puzzles were clever and the interaction with the game master much of fun. Highlighting the staff, they were cheerful and you felt they played their roles with much joy. We had a really nice chat after the game as well. Plus they have a common room/bar where you can enjoy a drink before the play - definitely a plus when you arrive early as we did. We‘ll definitely try another of their rooms when we come back to Edinburgh. ❤️ 5/6 exceptionally cool room - don’t miss it!
Lost BusLiveActGamesEscape roomIRLPlaying on a real bus was definitely something different and was nicely done. We also liked the plot. We played in January and although it was really cold outside playing in a jacket and something on your head was perfectly fine as they provided heaters. I think it even added to the overall experience. I am not loving scary games but didn’t want to miss the special atmosphere - and this was totally fine for me.
