Sir Ripple Sugarton’s Candy FactorySplit Oak Axscape GamesEscape roomIRLThis is a very average gen 2 room. I love locks and keys, but there were some combos for locks in this room that I did not appreciate (requiring mindless observation, not puzzling). The room is purchased instead of owner created, so it doesn't have passion or character. There are certainly way better rooms to do in Orlando.
Cornstalkers: Lost in the MaizeThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLBeautifully executed and very fun to play. This room is easily in my top five rooms in the US. Some puzzles are fun, some challenging, and others a combination. The icing on the cake is that there were physical locks...one of the most satisfying things in a room! Our GM was perfect- energetic, efficient and kind enough to give us a peak behind the scenes afterwards.
Cinema 7Will To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLI was expecting a bit more based on reviews. There were a few tasks/puzzles that were annoying to complete. Fun theme, thematic puzzles, friendly staff.
Echoes at Murder HeightsThe Escape Ventures - Orlando I-DriveEscape roomIRLWe really enjoyed this room, mostly because the puzzles were unique and challenged us a bit. The theme was fun and there's enough to busy a group of four.
A Not So Fairytale EndingLock, Clock, and Peril Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room is great and even better than the room before (Teleporter Trials). The theme is fun, the decor is thematic, the puzzle are engaging, and the owners are spectacular. I can't wait until they have another room!
Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis wasn't my favorite room at TEG, but it was fun and cute. I wish it was longer and a little more challenging.
Defenders of the Sunken RealmThe Keepers of BalanceEscape roomIRLVery similar to the Temple of Light, it's a gorgeous room, but too short. Another thing that was slightly annoying was that the GM bypassed a puzzle for us (presumably because we took too long), but we took less than an hour in this 75 minute room. I would say- Set and immersion- 5/5 Puzzles- 2/5 Overall- 3/5 We were a bit disappointed. We wanted more!
Quest For The Temple of LightThe Keepers of BalanceEscape roomIRLThe room was impressive and easily the best in the Charlotte area, but we wanted more. It's an easy room, especially for four experienced players.
RockstarCityscape GamesEscape roomIRLOur group of three loved this room! It plays very well and the sign posting is awesome. I'm in the minority of enthusiasts that love physical locks and keys, so this room is ideal. The space is relatively small, but is used well. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
ZookeeperCityscape GamesEscape roomIRLThis is a very solid room that packs a lot of puzzles into a small space. It's ideal for newer players because it's not very difficult. The owner is very friendly and accommodating.
The StorykeeperLocurioEscape roomIRLOf the rooms we played in Seattle, this was was our group's favorite. We enjoyed the clever, original puzzles and beautiful set. The actor was one of the best we've encountered in a room.
Mystery At Innsmouth: An Official Arkham Horror Escape Room - CLOSEDHourglass EscapesEscape roomIRLIn retrospect, I appreciate the originality of this room, but I didn't find it a ton of fun while we were playing. Also, the GM is literally behind a curtain for the experience which I found quite odd.
Legend of TheradoniaEscape Hour Gig HarborEscape roomIRLWe had a fun time in this room! The theme is very cute and the decor is adorable. The flow is great and the puzzles are logical.
Space Mission: GuardianThink Tank Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room really divided our group. My husband didn't like it, our friend loved it, and I appreciated it, but didn't love it. It's a very original experience. I think it's important to know going in that it's a very tasked based room. We found ourselves following instructions a lot. This may be some people's cup of tea, and not others.
The Lightkeeper's SecretEscape 406Escape roomIRLThis room was a pleasant surprise and quite unique. We had low expectations going in, simply because it's a small town, but it's a much better room than others we've played in small towns. Our group of three escaped with about 20 minutes left. I wouldn't play with a large group due to the difficulty level and space constraints.
Dragon RealmMile High Escape OpsEscape roomIRLSolid room with logical puzzles and good flow. The owner is very nice; she and her husband build the rooms. There were some puzzles we've seen before, but we've played a lot of rooms! We (three of us) were able to work through the room without hints and about 17 minutes left.
Room 303 - Chapter 1303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLI ended up liking the room, but I found myself quite frustrated by a couple of puzzles during the experience. I thought they were unnecessarily confusing. There were other props/puzzles in the room that were thematic and pretty cool. Overall, I didn't love it, but it was enjoyable.
Wharf of WonderThemescape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLSolid room with fun puzzles and good flow. Our only issue was not knowing what opened after finishing one puzzle.
Monopoly: Get Out Of Jail!Breakout Games - LexingtonEscape roomIRLThis room isn't super special, but the puzzles are on theme, and I found it very nostalgic. I was disappointed in the length of the room and with a broken prop. Another word of warning...rooms at Breakout are NOT created equal. I would steer clear of most.
Pharaoh's Curse V2Countdown GamesEscape roomIRLNot the best room at Countdown and not long enough, but it's worth playing now that they re-vamped it.
