Also the DM and front desk attendant were EXCELLENT and so thoughtful. And my goodness, the space is beautiful from the moment you walk in. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Here, Kitty KittyEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLThe game and the set are great, and for the most part, the puzzles are plenty and super fun. However, we had a GM who wasn’t supportive and thus we had a not-so-great experience. There were a couple of moments in which we asked for hints and the GM was incredibly unhelpful, which led to us losing a lot of time during a couple unnecessary bottleneck moments (eg a key component falling totally out of reach) and not completing the game (a first for us!). Super disappointing experience in what I do believe is an adorable and fun new game.

It was not my favorite experience as I think some of the puzzles were flawed (one in particular felt v out of place) but the set design is FANTASTIC and I do believe it’s worth doing.

Election DayAppleseed AvenueEscape roomIRLWowowow! Appleseed Ave. reminded me that some of the most fun, joyful and quietly innovative art is being done at escape rooms. This was one of the most fun evenings I’ve had in awhile! It was start to finish so fun, hilarious, and clever! The game mechanics and format are just so brilliant. The production value is outstanding and you can tell that so much thought and love went into making Election Day. Our GM, Adam was FANTASTIC! Tbh I think I’m gonna bring some more folks and play the part I didn’t play this time. GAH! Just GO.

The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWeeping Witch was Magic! Like truly one of the greatest experiences we’ve had in LA. From the moment we met Molly, our GM, we were in such good hands. The room is gorgeously constructed, puzzles are very very cool, ambience is spoooooky, creepy fun. We laughed, we screamed, we had a blast! DO THIS ROOM!

Something's Out There!Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLA gloriously frightful experience. With this one, Maze Rooms manages to accomplish making players feel like they’re in the middle of a scary movie without the use of a live actor. The scenic design and soundscape make you feel like you’re being watched…or worse, hunted. It’s got some fun jumpscares, excellent puzzles and a nerve wracking storyline. Highly recommend!

LOVE the live actor at the center of the narrative AND gameplay (shout out to Jack!). Love the story and the brilliant use of every inch of a small space. One of my fav experiences for sure!

Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLThis room has a lot of hype and as such, we were super excited to do this! However, we had a pretty negative experience. Our team of fairly experienced players got bottlenecked in one puzzle for 45 minutes bc it was functionally hard to complete; we understood the puzzle but just couldn’t functionally complete it. This, we ran out of time and the GM walked us through the second half of the game in a really rushed manner as the next group was knocking on the door. Felt a bit broken.

My husband and I decided to try it last minute and so glad we did. Puzzles were super innovative (only one lock and key and it was in-world). Just found ourselves giggling the whole way through!
