Big Brain Labs60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLI cannot explain how cool this escape room is in comparison to the several I have done with another enthusiastic friend over the last two months. It’s engaging and the games are so modern it totally adds a whole new vibe to escape rooms. My friend and I had a blast and would highly recommend. I think it is both friend and family friendly with the design and flow. Becca was our awesome game master and added to the experience with her positive energy. This is a must experience for escape room folks in LA.
Wizard's Treasure60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLSuch a fun escape room. It’s what I would call fun with friends but also family friendly. The puzzles were a bit tricky at times but manageable. The design is modern and fun. I would recommend especially for beginners. Such an interesting and well thought out escape room. Becca was amazing again!
Project 5150Hypnotic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room was a moderately challenging space. It’s a cool and fun design. It was just me and one friend but we just barely made it through. I would recommend for people into escape rooms with a more science based theme. It was challenging but manageable. Also the staff were super friendly.
The Orphanage60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLThis room was actually kinda scary at times and even had a few jump scares. It was a fun room and had a lot to offer in the one hour. Cool design and not too difficult. The GM was a little distracted at times but he was still kind and helpful. Overall I would recommend for a spooky adventure.
Escape LAHypnotic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room was my second room at this location. It was fun and had a nice LA vibe. It was pretty intuitive and flowed well. The different rooms had cool themes and made it more fun as you went along. It wasn’t too hard of a room so would be a fun time with friends.
Doctor Psycho60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThis room was giving Saw vibes and it was pretty cool. The puzzles were challenging at times and needed help from the GM a few times. Even though we struggled a bit we had a fun time and Becca really added to the positive experience. If you’re into horror and spooky this one is fun.
Amityville60Out - Silver LakeEscape roomIRLThe room was pretty cool with its design and layout. The puzzles were linear and made sense. It wasn’t too difficult and would be fun with friends as it’s a little spooky. I would recommend and the GM was awesome.
Mafia60Out - MelroseEscape roomIRLThis room was creative and the puzzles were fun to complete. Loved the aesthetic and design. I would recommend with friends. This one was fun and kept us engaged the whole time.
Western Bank HeistEscape The Room - GlendaleEscape roomIRLThis room and overall escape room location has been my least favorite in the LA area. I’ve done two or their rooms. This room and the Jurassic one. This room was a traditional escape room. The puzzles were not linear to me so it was confusing at times. Also a few things were not working correctly and the lack of awareness by the GM made it even more frustrating. So time was wasted during a timed game. I personally wouldn’t recommend.
Jurassic EscapeEscape The Room - GlendaleEscape roomIRLThis room is aesthetically nice and really interesting. However, as an escape room it is probably the worst one I’ve been to in terms of figuring out what to do. I would not recommend for newer players. The puzzles are not linear and it’s not an intuitive space either. My partner and I were left confused about why things were happening and what to do. And again just like the bank heist room a couple of things were not working correctly.
