The Man From Beyond
Strange Bird Immersive
Escape room
IRL
One of the highest rated rooms in the country for a reason - its just as much immersive theater performance as it is an escape room and I only wish more rooms included this kind of experience. VIP experience was very worth it, helped build the tone beautifully and we loved our Daphne. My biggest concern was with how much of this would feel like a traditional escape room and it did not disappoint.

I'll be the first to admit that I was in a sour mood when I played this game. By the time we got out I felt much better. Immersion starts as soon as you enter the building. The room itself feels expansive with plenty of puzzles well integrated into the story and theatrical effects for immersion alone. Tons of good stuff to say about this place, can't wait till they open another room.

We were in the area for 13th Gate and decided last minute to do this one - so glad we did. This room was better than most of the ones we did in the area with an expansive set, multiple puzzle that felt really well designed, and a supportive staff (Katherine) that walked/talked us through the experience afterwards. Loved it so much we booked their other room.

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. This bad boy is a multi-year TERPECA winner that holds up even to today's standards. Multiple puzzles had us delighted; the little details and craftsmanship really stand out. Really hope they come out with another room because this one won us over.
Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's Bigfoot
The Nemesis Club

One of the best escape rooms in the nation. Between incredible set design, thematic puzzles, and a technical masterpiece of an ending, this game is absolutely everything you could ever want in a room. Take your time and enjoy every minute that you are in the game. It's one of the few rooms that I would play again just for the quality of it.

The fact that this room opened up something like five years ago is absolutely mind bending. One of the most dazzling sets I've ever seen and it's hard to know if I'll ever seen anything quite like it again. Absolutely gorgeous. The first half of the room is an absolute thrill of an experience. The second half is a little more average (almost below average) puzzle-wise. I don't think we would have gotten out without accepting hints because there were a couple things to find that would have been nearly impossible to notice with the lighting situation. We also had a couple small tech issues, but it didn't necessarily dampen my experience. This bad boy is an absolute must-do in the area.
40 Thieves
MindTrap Escape Room - Temecula

Quickly winning over everybody who gives it a shot, 40 Thieves is a fantastic game filled with fun, story-integrated puzzles and technology. Mindtrap went with a slightly more unusual theme and they knocked it out of the park!

When we first planned the trip to NYC, this new-ish room was a maybe on our list. Eventually we agreed to give it a shot just because people were talking about it. We booked the second room almost immediately after completing this one. From the moment you walk into the space, things are designed to get you immersed into the story. The introduction to the game is done so much more creatively than just a standard video and really helps getting into the zone. Lots of places try to do the "different story endings", this is probably the first place where we would play it again. There's two main paths that have separate puzzles to complete - we really enjoyed the one we got. The actor did an incredible job, the use of a narrator enhanced the experience, and offering little "achievements" you could earn throughout the game really got us invested. We'd do it at least once more. Do this room. Then do the second chapter. These are great.

Probably our the favorite room of our trip to New York. We did Heresy and immediately booked this one - it was even better. The "lobby" was a great way to get people immersed before the room even started. The actors were the highlight of this one - very professional, very fun, and guided us in a way that didn't make us feel weird having them around - they truly were some of the best parts of the room. Add that to Doors of Divergence's system of in-game achievements, incredible theatrics, and solid puzzle design and we were blown away by our experience. I know the set up of this room changes depending on how your first chapter ended - I think we would play both rooms at least once more to see the changes. *quack quack*

My 100th room!!! I can't say anything that hasn't been said before. The room is exciting, story-driven, and delightful. Set design was fantastic and the tech fit in perfectly. Scott went above and beyond making our experience incredible, even staying an talking to us about the room for well over an hour. Can't wait for all the other rooms he's planning.
