“My husband and I wanted to try this room while we were in Ohio for a friend’s wedding over the weekend and had some spare time. I saw that Playground was a TERPECA finalist and nominee numerous times and we were set on completing it. Getting to have such a blast and reminiscing of fun puzzles and activities in school as a 4th grader was amazing! Best room we have ever done!”

“great room that i would recommend to anyone. set design was cool and felt like a real pirate ship. all of the puzzles made logical sense and were well themed to fit the room. many cool surprises in the room. one of the only rooms that i wouldn’t change anything about any of the puzzles”

“Very good room. We have done all the other rooms at this location and this one, splitting your group into two cells to start the experience, is very unique. Communications is important. We were split up for over 20 minutes to start the experience but it was very cool. We liked the room but for the most part, Playground was the consensus favorite room we have done there among my group.”

“The reviews are spot on. We have done over 50 rooms and this is one of the very best we have experienced. Challenging but not impossible. The flow is good, the atmosphere is great, and there were plenty of tasks to keep our experienced group of 5 busy. This room is not for beginners. They have a couple other rooms better suited for those with limited experience. I would suggest a minimum of 10 escapes rooms under your belt before doing this room. Team Escape is a wonderful facility overall and we would highly recommend all 5 of their hour+ game experiences.”

“This is such a cute theme. I game with my wife and 3 daughters and this was just fun. It had some elements that us adults had to do and some the kids could do. This is just an amazing room with fantastic game masters.”

“Possibly my favorite room of theirs that I've done, and we've done most of the rooms here (and all are good). The puzzles all made sense and were fun, there was some innovative cluing. Temple raiding is a bit overdone / tired in the escape room space, but they did a good job for the space they had and everything looked very nicely put together. We escaped with about 10.5 minutes left, but we are a very experienced duo; I'd call this more of a medium room difficulty for sure.”

“Great story from start to end where the puzzles made sense to the theme and story. We came back to Columbus to try out this room as it wasn’t built when we did their Houdini’s Secret. Puzzle elements were new and creative. Would definitely recommend their rooms.”

“A very different atmosphere than most escape rooms we’ve done. This is a fun, lighthearted room that works well for both kids and adults, but it was more challenging than we expected. The puzzles were genuinely engaging, with a few skill-based games mixed in, along with cute interactions involving the fake animals. The room is mostly nonlinear, which keeps everyone involved and busy throughout. As always, the game masters at this location are terrific and really add to the overall experience.”

“Really good room, especially for a holiday themed room. Logical and fun. Our team of four really enjoyed this room. Just a little cheesy but not over the top. The TV broadcast was an excellent touch.”

“The gameplay was amazing and the puzzles were very unique! The owner of the business was our game master for the room and he did a wonderful job immersing us into the world of the game. He was able to explain the boundaries of the game (such as the off limit areas) in a way that didn’t distract from the world he was building. The mechanics and surrounding props in the escape were in excellent condition. Outside of the provided clues, you didn’t need any outside knowledge to solve the puzzles. This room was a 10/10 for us and we will definitely be visiting their other location when we get the chance!”

“You'll shoot your eye out! I love the movie, so this escape room was spot on. However, I think even people who have not seen the movie as much as me would still enjoy it. Very well themed and a great story line.”

“This had a fun theme. You could say that the room felt dated, but it is set in a roadside motel so things felt appropriate. The experience is very lock-and-key based so if you get a key you might have to try it on a few different locks that are available. I would definitely try some of the others available at Escape Artists.”
