“Overall great room! For its limited space, they did a good job maintaining the theme with their props and the puzzles were all very logical. There are A LOT of puzzles and game flow is very non-linear so you probably need at least minimum 3-4 people in your group with some experience each. Completed room with 4 players, no hints, 55:00/60:00. By far the best company in the city!”

Whispers of evil, maniacal treachery and occult idols await. Step back in time to the roaring 80s where you will discover the secret behind the Curse of Madam Zita’s Curiosities.

“We had been told to go here by multiple other escape room GM’s and heard really good things. The best part is there is a sound effect that lets you know that you were successful in a clue so you know a drawer had opened. We’ve been in escape rooms before where we didn’t notice we got it right.”

An old, but once-charming stage where washed-up magicians went to put on their last show in hopes of rekindling their popularity. Many walked through its doors, desperately seeking the approval of audiences. Then came the Professor, his feats were unimaginable, his illusions were unexplainable, but little did we know that he was using the theatre as his testing grounds to perfect his powers gained from the relics. One of those relics must remain hidden somewhere inside. Can you help us recover the relic hidden within the Majestic Theatre?

“I would rate this room a 4/5 (ck out my bio page for my rating system). The set design and theme deserve 1 pt, average. The real 'magic' was in the puzzles which I would give 1.5 pts! There was a variety of puzzle types and they all incorporated the theme quite well. A few of the puzzles were time-suckers (you figure them out quickly but completing them takes more than a reasonable amount of time) so because of this, I think this room should have a 60m time limit rather than 45m. I give my experience in this room a 1.5. I really did enjoy it mainly because of the puzzle experience (even with the time-suckers!). I hadn't seen many of the puzzles before and loved the variety. It was a pretty linear type escape experience which I prefer. Another thing I liked about this room (and business, as all the rooms have this) was that they play a distinctive sound when you complete a puzzle. Most of the rooms I have done don't have this and it's sometimes difficult to know if you actually solved a puzzle. In addition, they were judicious with their hints (we told them to go light on the hints) and played a separate sound when these were on the screen so we knew when to look. The staff was fun and helpful! My only real complaint is the pictures. I do like the polaroid idea but there should also be online availability of the pictures as well so you don't have to take a pic of the pic when you want to share!”

“Really enjoyed this room, not really hard for advanced players but really liked it non the less. Pretty decors and some fun puzzles and a surprisingly very enjoyable gimmick/game ( trying not to spoil it!) Nice flow to the game and never really had any problem progressing. Overall really recommend this room!”

Now Kallpa, the saber-toothed guardian, has awakened in fury. His roar echoes through the temple as a volcano stirs beneath the earth. The spirits linger still, some may guide you, others may seek to lead you astray. Even Uma, the Owl of Wisdom's help must be earned. Rainforest Ruins is an immersive adventure that emphasizes exploration, teamwork, and discovery. Venture through a forgotten temple, encounter ancient spirits, and uncover the secrets hidden within its walls. Featuring interactive effects, branching game modes designed for teams of 2, 4, or 6 participants, and an epic final confrontation, the experience is designed to make you feel like explorers on a legendary quest rather than simply solving puzzles.

“Bamboozled, as many in their reviews say, is one of the better rooms in the lower mainland. I found this room actually a little harder than their hardest (midnight manor). It would just be great if it was more clear how to reset puzzles. But unlimited hints makes sure that you don’t feel worried about using one to ask how to reset. They also were watching and actually came in to tell us we were missing a step, which we had actually done, but was wrong, great company and fun and challenging but logical puzzles”

I always heard stories about my grandfather. About how great of a detective he was, about all the lives lost that he avenged by seeking justice for them. But there was one story that never had an ending: the year was 1947, 4 gangsters were found dead in a dive bar owned by the mob. Grandad was assigned to the case to find the person responsible for this almost admirable crime. He had 4 suspects, each more likely a culprit than the last. I never got a chance to hear the ending to this story, if only I could see things through grandad’s eyes and find the ending myself…

“This was a good room, there were a couple parts that were confusing but after we received a clue we were able to figure it out sometimes even before he finished telling us. There are a couple times that you have to do things multiple times but there is no indication, so you don’t know if you’ve done it right or not.”

In a hospital of missing organs, a mad doctor experiments with life itself. Infection spreads. The truth waits to be revealed.

“There are so many glowing google reviews of this room that I worried they may not be real. If you are wondering the same - I’m here to tell you that the 5 stars are all well deserved! This room is different than any I’ve ever done and the GM explained that it is a Chinese-style room. It really was like watching a movie, with scenes playing out in front of you. The space is small - but they’ve done a great job of making it feel big! The room isn’t really about the puzzles, but there were some fun challenges. The set design, effects, and acting are great. I spook easily, and it definitely was scary/got my heart racing, but I felt safe the whole time which helped! I would 100% recommend this room. If you are a scaredy-cat like me, id recommend going with 3+ others. I can’t wait to see what Mr. J’s puts together next! Greater Vancouver is lucky to have them.”

Mysterious rumours have been circulating around town. Pets going missing, livestock found dead and drained of blood and now a friend from your school hasn’t been seen in days. Given how many books you’ve read on the topic, you know clearly that these are telltale signs of a vampire. However, no matter how much you try to tell the police, they’re fully dismissing the supernatural element from the investigation. You decide to take matters into your own hand and track down this vampire yourself. The clues around the crime scene lead you to an old looking mansion a little out of town. After a few minutes looking into the windows and not seeing movement, you head inside…

Learn More about Vancouver Escape Rooms

Vancouver, Canada, is a city that offers an exciting and diverse selection of escape rooms, making it a thrilling destination for both locals and tourists seeking an immersive and brain-teasing adventure. These escape rooms provide an opportunity to test one's problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork as participants find themselves locked inside elaborately themed scenarios and must work together to solve puzzles, decipher clues, and unravel mysteries in order to escape within a set time limit. Vancouver's escape rooms encompass a wide range of themes, from historical enigmas set in ancient civilizations to thrilling spy missions, horror scenarios, and futuristic challenges. The attention to detail, captivating storytelling, and cleverly designed puzzles create an atmosphere of excitement and suspense, ensuring an adrenaline-pumping experience for all participants. Whether you're deciphering ancient artifacts, investigating a crime scene, or exploring a haunted mansion, Vancouver's escape rooms promise an unforgettable and engaging journey into the world of enigmas and surprises. Whether you're an experienced escape room enthusiast or a first-time player, these experiences offer an entertaining and challenging activity that fosters teamwork and leaves participants with a sense of accomplishment and an eagerness to take on even more daring challenges.

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
