Just a werewolf from Spirit Halloween... also, they were definitely triggering some puzzles remotely before we had properly solved them. That's a big pet peeve of mine, combined with the lackluster attitude of staff, was an unsatisfying experience.

The Grand Parlor13th Hour Escape Room - WhartonEscape roomIRLI was scared of anything spooky but this room was great! I quite liked the set but it lacked just that extra umph in terms of props. Puzzles were okay but ultimately amount to shouting across the rooms to figure out object/number/letter correlations. Also you can hear concurrent players in other rooms. GM was very sweet.

Prison BreakThe Escape Game - NYC (Midtown)Escape roomIRLBeen wanting to do this one for a while! Loved starting in two different rooms (not a spoiler), it's a really nice concept that I think other games should incorporate more often. This was really fun and unexpectedly large. I don't know why it's level 9, I felt the puzzles were pretty fast to figure out but maybe I just had a good team. As always with The Escape Game though I can't stand that it is not a private experience. We luckily had no one else but I would absolutely hate having to do this room with a stranger. You're literally in a cell. Maybe they need the extra cash flow to maintain the *very* high quality rooms but man some rooms really just need to be private.
