Houdini's WorkshopPanIQ Room - NYC [prev. Clue Chase]Escape roomIRLThis room was super fun, the puzzles were creative, satisfying, and the theme was a thread that pulled together throughout the entire game. The elements in the room were a bit well-used, and a lot of the locks were number combo locks, but there was a variety of interesting clues and games to play throughout that kept things feeling fresh. Overall a fun and entertaining escape that I would recommend.
The Edison Escape RoomPalace GamesEscape roomIRLSuch a unique, entertaining and delightful escape room. Aptly light focused, the room was entertaining, visually exciting, and highly dependent on collaboration. Was super fun to do with a group of 8, everyone had something to do. Puzzles were intuitive but challenging, and satisfying to solve. Highly recommend this room to all.
The AttractionPalace GamesEscape roomIRLThis was truly one of the most immersive experiences of my life. The puzzles were fun and engaging, characters were unforgettable, and interactive and immersive elements second to none. Wonderful “room” and experience, delightful throughout.
Moonshine MadnessPanIQ Room - NYC [prev. Clue Chase]Escape roomIRLThis room was super fun, my partner and I had a slower start on the first few clues but then picked up speed toward the end once we got a feel for things. Some of the clues were pretty easy, some you had to think a bit more about. I wouldn’t call any one solve particularly uniquely satisfying, but some of the mechanisms, interactive puzzles, and design elements were really delightful. Overall, a very solid room with a lot of fun to be had.
EXIT: The Game - Adventures on CatanThames & KosmosEscape roomTabletopOne of the better Exit games I have played! Highly recommend for fans of Catan and escape rooms
Montauk ProjectMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was the final escape room at MyssTic that I hadn’t done and like the previous two, the set was absolutely incredible. Fully immersive room, with lots of opportunities to be surprised and delighted by the puzzles. There were a few puzzles that I enjoyed quite a bit less than others, but this room is really an excellent one so I have to give it a heart and a glowing review.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - Fisherman's WharfEscape roomIRLThis room was one of my favorites from “the escape game” brand. I particularly liked the cabin vibes and some of the more interactive puzzles. Another super solid, fun, and exciting room from this chain.
The DepthsThe Escape Game - Fisherman's WharfEscape roomIRLThis room was challenging and fun, as with all “The Escape Game” rooms, the set design was intricate and complex and the puzzles were straightforward yet satisfying. The story for this one was pretty intricate too. Overall, a solid escape room.
Paradox | The Incredible Time MachineRabbit Hole Recreation ServicesEscape roomIRLOne of the greatest rooms I’ve ever played. Each puzzle was exciting, logical, and flowed perfectly. I loved the variety of puzzles and the way that the clues translated to the physical mechanisms. Each clue I am tracing back while reflecting on this room was clever and fun and just all around scratched that escape room satisfaction itch. Loved it!
Ruins of the Mystic TempleRabbit Hole Recreation ServicesEscape roomIRLThis room was spectacularly themed - I really felt like I was in a Mayan ruin. A lot of the triggers and effects from solved puzzles were very satisfying. Some of the clues and puzzles were a little harder to connect the dots on than others, but overall this room was awesome.
Wake Up!QuestomaticaEscape roomIRLWe did this room quite a few years ago, and it sticks out as fairly unique and pretty challenging. We did not escape and were kind of lost for most of it. Not my favorite room, but have to give it a thumbs up for uniqueness and the challenging nature of the room.
Casino HeistEscapeWorks Denver - Convention CenterEscape roomIRLThis room is definitely not on my top escape rooms list, but I do feel like it’s not worth completely writing off. The puzzles were a little convoluted and often the correct answer or strategy to solve the puzzle at hand was not the first or even second idea we had. By the end, we caught onto the patterns and were able to escape however, the end of the room was a bit unsatisfying. Overall, would not go out of my way for this room, but if you have some free time, it is not the worst one out there.
Egyptian TombEscapeWorks Denver - Convention CenterEscape roomIRLThe room was very nicely themed, immersive and some of the interactive and skill based puzzles were fun. There was a heavy reliance on one puzzle solving technique which ended up being a bit repetitive but some of the clues were fun. Overall I give this room a solid thumbs up but it wasn’t particularly special.
La Prophétie du Dragon [The Dragon's Prophecy]Vortex Montréal - PlateauEscape roomIRLThis room is well-cared for and fun. I enjoyed some of the more unique and custom physical game elements and those pieces are the ones that have stuck with me years after playing this one.

Mob Heist [prev. The Perfect Heist]Exit Escape Room NYCEscape roomIRLWe had a great time in this room, the clues were all very logical, and the various mechanisms were fun and interesting to execute on. Our game master was also exceptionally funny, energetic, and kind. We had a wonderful experience in this room.
The BirdMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLThe room may have been small, but the clues made it feel huge. The puzzles were unique, clever, and required you to be resourceful, studious, and to think outside the box. We liked how there was a mix of physical and mental challenges, sometimes that balance is hard to find and they did it perfectly. Our game master was great and kind. We loved this room!
The AgencyEscape The Room - ManhattanEscape roomIRLThis room was really decorated very bond-like, but like some of the previous comments, the room needs some updating/TLC. Also, some of the puzzles/mechanisms seemed to be a little broken. The clues were interesting, on-theme, and fun, a few of them I didn’t like as much as others but overall, thumbs up for this room.
The HomeEscape The Room - ManhattanEscape roomIRLEchoing what other reviewers have reported- the room seems a bit thrown together as an afterthought. Props were sparse/bare bones and some electronics were finicky. Additionally, some of the clues were reaches and required hints from GM. GM was ultimately the highlight of this room as they were kind and enthusiastic. Overall, wouldn’t recommend this room gameplay wise.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - NYC MidtownEscape roomIRLPlayed this room with a big group (10) and it was really fun - a little chaotic and cramped at times, but everyone was able to get involved and have a good time.
