“Despite being a bit of an overused and cliche theme the team here really managed to nail it,proving as long as you do something RIGHT, it doesn't matter if thousands of others are trying to do the same. Very atmospheric great.”

The old Blackwell Manor has sat vacant for over a century upon a lonely hill just outside of town. Legend has it, the once-grand manor is still inhabited by its former occupants, the Blackwell Family. It's rumored that lights are often seen coming from the house even though there's no electricity. No one from town dares to step foot within its crumbling frame. If you listen closely enough on a stormy night, you can hear the blood-curdling screams coming from the house's direction. You have been challenged to spend just one hour locked inside the manor. The bragging rights alone are worth it. There's no such thing as ghosts, right?

“LOVED this room. spooky/eerie type of scary. the set design and effects really build the atmosphere well. the storytelling is SO good too. as a mobility note, someone may have to crawl a very short amount. all the puzzles were great. one puzzle could maybe use a written hint/prompt but overall such a fun experience that we came back the next day to do another one.”

Without his protection it is only a matter of time before the city falls into ruin. But there is hope! Thankfully you’ve located and managed to breach our hero’s secret lair. All you have to do now is track down the evil doer, and save Captain Secret from his clutches. You must hurry! The Captain’s powers are fading fast, and it’s only a matter of time before he is lost for good and evil will fall upon our great city!

“Extremely cute room with a light hearted campy superhero theme and a coherent narrative! Puzzles were signaled clearly and all worked well. As others have noted, this is a very automated room without a live GM (except at very beginning and end of your game). I could totally see how that could be frustrating but personally I found that the room flowed very well and even had little built in audio cues to get you back on track. So I didn't miss the live GM element at all! Overall fairly easy room with fun interactivity. Very family friendly.”

For decades, the city’s greatest criminal syndicates have answered to one man, Vittorio Bosargio. He is known as the Don of Dons, holding power over multiple criminal organizations, but lately his judgement has been questionable and unstable. He is slowly slipping into madness. You’ve been summoned, along with other organizational heads, to meet in a secret location and discuss the fate of the highly respected, but faltering Don. Unfortunately, your betrayal doesn’t go unnoticed. Someone has double crossed you, and now it’s a race against the clock to survive. Don’t end up ‘sleepin' wit' the fishes.’ Can you outsmart Don Vittorio Bosargio?

“Solid theme and set. All the details played into the story or the puzzles in a rewarding way. We got very stuck at one point but frankly it was a user error, in hindsight there were enough clues in the set design to tell us what to do next. Definitely some harder puzzles in the latter portion of the room. Doable with 2 people.”

You are tomb robbers serving a criminal organization, led by the mysterious Arnold von Dunkelheit. For years, Dunkelheit has suspected that the supposed tomb of one of Egypt’s greatest queens - Queen Nefertari - was not actually her final resting place. Known as Site QV66, it was rumored to hold the greatest treasures of Ramesses II, and said to contain the Golden Hall - a magical chamber where the dead could be resurrected. But when the tomb was opened in 1904 the treasures were all missing, and there was no evidence of any secrets to eternal life. The situation didn’t add up, and after decades of searching, Dunkelheit’s group has finally located what may be the real tomb of Nefertari. Armed with a list of long-lost treasures, you must dynamite your way into the tomb, steal everything they can find, and escape before the local authorities and meddling hero-archaeologists arrive. Authorities have been tracking your group, and will arrive in 60 minutes. If Dunkelheit can’t have all the treasures, no one can - once the mission is finished, you must blow up the tomb to bury your tracks and make your escape.

Doable with two people.”

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
