1986-6-6 [Immersive Experience] - Closing Nov 11986-6-6Escape roomOther This was so silly and fun. I loved how there was a central theme (and it made sense, even though it was nuts!), and we had a group mission and individual missions that required us to follow the storyline and go of on our own and make relationships with other attendees. The overall organizational structure and flow of how they set that up was very cute and stayed in theme. The actors were a real treat and had us engaging in fun and silly ways. I very much recommend this experience!
Poe-Etique: An Edgar Allan Poe Immersive Experience - CLOSEDSkiptownEscape roomOther This was a lovely experience, heavy on the elements of modern dance. The costumes were rich and detailed, the actors were great, and the atmosphere was on point. There were some fun interactions with actors, but I think increasing those would make this experience even more fun. The plot made sense overall, but as much of it was just interpreted though dance, rather than a spoken script, I was a little fuzzy on the exact details of what was happening. At one point, something happened that made me think that I was dead, but I wasn't ever quite sure, and neither were fellow participants, until after when the staff explained it to us. The system for marking specific folks to be pulled for small group experiences failed for me, at least one time, which was a bummer. So, I recommend attending, but I think with a few tweaks, Poe-Etique could be an even more engaging experience. Either way, it was beautifully produced and a very enjoyable evening of theater.
Delusion: Den Of The Mosquito [Season 2026]DelusionHauntHaunted houseI really enjoyed this year's season of Delusion--great acting, made sense thematically, and took us on a fun romp around the mansion. We did, unfortunately, have an audience member in our group who decided he was the show and that threw off some of the last few scenes, but these things happen. This season wasn't overly scary, for those that worry about that type of thing, but had some dark elements, fun surprises, and a few very cool technical elements.
The Mole of The MountainUpside Down Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis was such a fun game full of easter eggs for the hard-core escape enthusiasts. They did so much with the space and created a fun and inventive story and experience with a blend of high-tech effects and fun low-tech physical puzzles. The twist at the end was delightfully funny. It was well worth the trek from Boston, and the town of Mashpee was also delightful to explore. Thank you to the owners who were so kind in setting up a tight schedule so we could play all three games one after another. This is a must play game, though we truly enjoyed the other two games. We can't wait to come back next summer and play their newest creation.
Baggage BanditsUpside Down Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis game was simple and delightful. Upside Down might be known for Mole of the Mountain, but all of their games are truly well done and full of great game play. We loved the atmosphere and the puzzles were just fun to work through. The hint system was also a fun twist on the theme. Highly recommend!
Nocturnal KeepUpside Down Escape GamesEscape roomIRLI loved the moody atmosphere in this Middle Age themed game. We enjoyed the game play and the space, but did get stuck a few times in the flow. While this game is fun and shouldn't be missed, it didn't have the unique qualities of the other two games at Upside Down. Thanks to the team there for making all of our games a great experience!
The BirdMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLReally cool room with beautiful decor. A few of the puzzles were a little frustrating in not being able to easily find the clue for a puzzle to function and there was one physical puzzle towards the end that was not fun given the tool that you are provided to work with. Other than that, we enjoyed the plot, unique theme, and the effects.
Winnie The PoohMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLWhat a delightful game! Whimsy, surprises, and solid puzzles. It's bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! This is my second favorite Mindtrap game after 40 Thieves.
The DogHouseEscape Room 66 - Laguna HillsEscape roomIRLSuper cute game that had us laughing but it was a ton of puzzles for the time and 2 people. Doable, but we definitely found that we had to pick up the pace. I most appreciated the theme and fun decorating. My least favorite part was so many number locks.
Wicked WonderlandEscape Room 66 - Laguna HillsEscape roomIRLAlso a very cute game. They had interesting props and use of the space. There is a lot to do for a team of 2, but we had a great time wandering heigh Wonderland.
Le Grand HΓ΄tel De ParisThe One EscapeEscape roomIRLAmazing! A horror game that doesn't sacrifice plot for the sake of scares. There were some special effects that really wowed us. This is a gorgeous game with a very funny and thoughtful way of developing the story that I hope all escape room/immersive fans will not miss-- even if it means a few scares. The experience is worth it.
Le Magicien De Paris [The Magician Of Paris]Deep InsideEscape roomIRLOn our 4 country tour, the Magician makes my top 3. It's a perfect game combining the feeling of being an adventurer with puzzles, theatricality, and an awesome set design. If we were able we would play every game here. I guess we have another good reason to come back to Paris soon.
The AlchemistSherlockedEscape roomIRLFascinating mechanics and a clean elegant design. The plot flowed nicely and there were some fun ways to interact with the space.
The EndDarkPark ZoetermeerEscape roomIRLThis game was much less elaborate than many on our Netherlands tour, but it really hit. So funny, engaging, and exciting to play. One of the best actors I've ever experienced in an escape room and plenty of solo opportunities for players. Highly recommend!
Zoltar Spreekt [Zoltar Speaks]Escape Cafe HilversumEscape roomIRLThis game was so much fun. I appreciated the owners opening a time slot for us to play while we were in the area. The game is full of surprises. It zigs and zags in layers of new adventures and the end was a heartstopping race to the finish. We loved this experience, the theatricality, and the set, that was fun to interact with.
Lost and FoundHotel Veloria [prev. Kamer 237]Escape roomIRLThis was a beautiful game. The set is innovative and contained surprising interactions throughout. Our host was fantastic and was always there to help when we needed a push. I loved the story and how it unfolded. I hope to come back and play the other games at this location!
The Non BelieversYour EscapeEscape roomIRLWow! This experience was unique and a masterpiece of set design. The puzzles were sometimes tedious and not as clean as I might have liked, but I was so in love with the movement through the set that it didn't bother me. It's a must play when in the The Netherlands.
Molly's GameUntold Stories Experiences [prev. Down the Hatch]Escape roomIRLWhat? How did they do that??? This game lives up to the hype. I don't want to say more. Go play it!
PrayEscape Room KatwijkEscape roomIRLLoved the drama! This was a beautiful set with an interesting navigation path that lended itself to exploration of cool new spaces and the unfolding of a narrative. I really enjoyed the addition of theatrical immersion to some very solid puzzles.
Jason's LegacyOuterGround Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGreat game, mostly for the really beautiful and immersive set. The puzzles were solid and kept you moving through the space and there were a few jump screws scares that added to the fun, though nothing too extreme. We really annoyed the element of play + narrative and look forward to playing more games at Outerground.
