“The atmosphere of this game was top notch! So immersive! It felt as if you were truly outside when you first enter the room. We took a little bit to get started, but once we did, the flow between puzzles was really smooth. We had no problems solving the room with three people and only struggled on the final puzzle. Probably our favorite set design of the three rooms at this location (though it’s stiff competition). All of the puzzles were unique and non-conventional. There was only one key used in the room, but its use fit the theme perfectly.”

“This room was one that just clicked with our team. Most rooms we complete are just my partner and I, but for this we were joined by a co-worker and their friend who were both escape room enthusiasts as well. We managed to place fifth on the leaderboard (25:42), so if you go and see Crab Cake on the leaderboard, reach out and say hi! The set design for this room was phenomenal! There were a lot of different puzzles and moving parts going on at one time and so it felt comfortable having four people running around both solving their own puzzles and assisting with others’ when they crossed paths. Eventually puzzles would converge and we’d have to all work together to solve one before splitting back up. While Something’s Out There was our favorite immersion at this location, this room was probably the most fun from the team interaction standpoint. What a great room and what a great game guide we had!”

“I had done Prison Break at The Escape Game in New York but that’s when I was young and overconfident, playing with a friend who was also young and overconfident. Back then the room kicked our butts and we ended up getting pushed through the latter half of the room in order to finish. This time around, playing with a new teammate and having the experience to tackle it again, I figured it’d be long enough that I didn’t remember the room. All I really recalled were the look of the rooms themselves, no specific puzzles. This second time around we needed next to no clues besides some mechanical overriding and got out with no worry. My favorite space in the room is the boiler room where cool mechanics meet lock and key puzzles - not only did the look of the rooms live up to Escape Game’s reputation but the puzzles were satisfying and abundant.”

“Having never seen the show this room is based around - I loved this room! The aesthetic was pleasing and the puzzles were multi-layered and satisfying to solve. After the room I came to the conclusion that The Escape Game have the perfect rooms that combine the old lock and key puzzles of earlier escape rooms with the newest technology that’s driving them forward. Though there were a lot of locks and codes, there were just as many mag-locks and sensors. The old-school-meets-new-school theme of it all paired nicely with the Selena Gomez and Steve Martin title.”

“Absolutely awesome room!! For the easily frightened, some sequences and interactions are pretty scary, and we would have been done a little quicker if we weren't such chickens! Gameplay flowed very well, and we never felt like we had to guess or make logical leaps. The technology involved in creating the room's ambiance is impressive, and despite a few quick technical delays, we had a lot of fun. GM Harper was kind, helpful, and fun! She really sold the intro to the game, gave great hints, and helped us out with some finicky tech so it wouldn't eat into our time. We will definitely be visiting again next time we're in the area!”

So interactive and challenging with a couple breezy puzzles that keep you from getting discouraged. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back and try other rooms. Every inch of the place from lobby to halls is on theme and I can’t say enough great things about it! We did it just before a flight out of LAX and definitely will schedule another room when we fly next. You should check it out.”

Don't Bring Your Zombies to Work is a comedy/horror escape room mural! It is an optionally self-guided experience - no props, no locks, no GM, no actors, no time limit, and free! The game should take around 30 minutes, and you can receive hints and check your answer via a QR code on the wall. “Such an awesome room! The story line was great and it was indeed very scary! It had a lot of really cool elements but a majority of the room is done in the dark/very very dimly lit so be sure to watch for that! Lemi was our game master and truly was so awesome! I think 50% of the experience was him adding to the room!”

My kids 7 and 5 enjoyed as our GM as well. Both sets are top tier. There is plenty to do in both rooms. I say play them back to back. You won’t be disappointed. Brain Games know what they are doing. “Flynn’s Arcade is a room that feels as good to play as it is to look at. Pictures give off the exact 80s aesthetic the room is going for. I won’t spoil anything but the progression of the room is surprising, from entrances that reveal themselves to the rooms you get to explore, there’s so much hidden and it’s satisfying the whole time. In our game one piece did not activate automatically which stuck my team in one spot a little longer than we wanted but even then we got out with some 25 minutes remaining. The puzzles are a mix of classic codes and locks and Survivor-esque challenges that keep gameplay exciting. Highly recommended this one.”

No real jump scares when we went and we thought it was more funny than scary. But that can likely change based on who you get as your gm. I can definitely see how the game master can make or break this game. It’s also definitely a game where you get out the energy you put in. It’s very gm driven/heavy. We had Jon and we enjoyed our experience and had a good time! I didn’t think there were any too hard puzzles and they were all themed pretty well and fit with the story. LOTS of running around, and the game starts at the top of a set of stairs. I’ve never been this out of breath in a game in a hot minute.”

“An absolute puzzle fest with adaptive gameplay to give groups of all experience levels a full and satisfying game. While the environment and story lean more simplistic, there’s a large number and huge variety of puzzles, many of which fit the theme nicely. While many of the puzzles seemed old-school (not a bad thing!), they all felt elevated or included a small twist to make them feel special, including a couple of unique elements we’ve never experienced in an escape room before!”

“This was an amazing escape room. There were unique and challenging puzzles, the set was fantastic, and there were opportunities to split up our team and to work together!! The flow was amazing. The game recommends 4-6 players, and we did it with 3 experienced players and escaped just in time. I definitely wouldn’t want a massive group, but the ability to split up and work in separate puzzles makes having more people helpful. I definitely wouldn’t recommend having fewer than 4. This game is challenging and would not be great for beginners. Overall, this is one of my favorite escape rooms that my group has ever done. I would definitely check it out.”

Lab Rat takes place in a laboratory where giant rats are doing odd experiments on human beings, specifically you! The somewhat unhinged Ratkenstein, a doctoral student in the field of human intelligence (or, in his estimation, the lack thereof), has tasked you with completing a series of tests and puzzles. If you succeed, he can finally write his dissertation. If you fail, he’s going to put you and your friends in the old test-subject chipper (like a wood chipper, but for test subjects!). “The Ladder is more of an experience than an escape room, where each room is a 15-minute container and you are moving through each decade with your chosen character. It’s the best of both worlds in my opinion with the “choose your own adventure” and escape room/arcade game feel. There are multiple pathways to win so you never really lose and you’re doing something the entire time either to get more story or more money. Do it for the plot takes on a different meaning here. When we played the experience, the technical pieces ran smoothly and we came in with the expectation that this was a linear immersive video game. Our game master, Chelsea, is probably the most amazing human ever so that definitely made our HR onboarding a seamless one. We also came on a Wednesday, which significantly reduced the price point for our group. I see the vision of how this is meant to be played more than once and now I want to back to see what other lives I may have lived! I always have completions tendencies so I know there is always going to be that part of me that’s hesitant to shift to a new focus or let a task go. One feedback I would have is to have a much more obvious signal if the games and puzzles were solved. Sometimes, we were not sure if it has already been solved or we messed up along the way. The point is to have fun and we did have a lot of fun. Thank you so much Chelsea and Hatch for a great 50 years 😭”

CLOSE-QUARTERS INTENSITY What makes The Elevator Shaft special? Trapped in an 8×8 elevator shaft while the car descends from above. Water, motion, and mechanical set pieces drive a mostly linear escape built for small groups, with no live actor, but the room itself is the threat. BEST FOR SMALL GROUPS Tight space, clear puzzle track, constant pressure. Climb, crawl, and coordinate as the environment changes around you.

“The set is incredible. Running water, moving ceiling, smoke and electrical effects, sound effects and the sliding trolley were all amazing. The puzzles, however, were just okay and you didn’t always know if you’d completed a puzzle correctly and what it may have triggered. I have such conflicting opinions on this place. I wish that the puzzles and sign posting matched the level of the set. I still have it a heart as it does stand out and have some great qualities. This is a small space so I would recommend 3-4 players.”
