“One of the best experiences I’ve had. We played both Flynn’s arcade and Treasure island. Let me start off by saying Greg the game master was the best. He did both of our games and was amazing. My kids 7 and 5 enjoyed as our GM as well. Both sets are top tier. There is plenty to do in both rooms. I say play them back to back. You won’t be disappointed. Brain Games know what they are doing. They will immerse you in the best way that you won’t want to leave the world you are in.”

“Flynn’s Arcade is a room that feels as good to play as it is to look at. Pictures give off the exact 80s aesthetic the room is going for. I won’t spoil anything but the progression of the room is surprising, from entrances that reveal themselves to the rooms you get to explore, there’s so much hidden and it’s satisfying the whole time. In our game one piece did not activate automatically which stuck my team in one spot a little longer than we wanted but even then we got out with some 25 minutes remaining. The puzzles are a mix of classic codes and locks and Survivor-esque challenges that keep gameplay exciting. Highly recommended this one.”

“A super high quality escape room just like all the other ones at the Quest Tavern, but this one would definitely rank one of the best ones here! I’ve done all of them and I’d say the Bridge Between is probably the hardest room at the Quest Tavern! It requires a minimum of 2 people, but to finish within the time limit of 75 minutes, I’d say 3-4 is recommended. Not scary at all! There is a LOT of puzzles and so much to do in this room. Not terribly a lot of seeking puzzles. Very immersive, including the hint system! Our GM was absolutely stellar in making for an unforgettable experience! The ending was super cute, though I did bang up my knee a bit 🤣 I guess that would be my only word of caution! Overall, I would not say this is beginner friendly, but enthusiasts who enjoy a challenge will absolutely love it! ❤️”

“I enjoyed it! Pretty physical and straightforward. Definitely something I’d bring kids to. 10-14 ish age. Not too scary and the puzzles didn’t seem too hard. It was pretty easy for us. Requires some actual reading through the clues they give you though and I know that some escape roomers can be pretty go go go in terms of just blindly solving puzzles and undoing locks. I wouldn’t bring anyone with mobility issues to this one though. At least half the room is behind lots of ladders and stairs and short ceilings. Clearly a lot of heart in this room. Good energy. Some of the more secret areas could use a little bit more theming to fit in with the absolute knockout theming and decor of the first two rooms.”

“We did with a 4 and an 11 year old, our little cats LOVED it! It’s fun for adults too, such a creatively designed room. The most (maybe the only?) child-friendly room around LA, definitely recommended to do with kids, I mean cats, of all ages. Jeremiah was so passionate and kind as a GM, and also as an escape room connoisseur. We’ll be back for the other room soon :)”

“Went over by 20 seconds, I’m still calling it “escaped” 😅 It is a very creative use of small space with great atmosphere. Got a couple puzzles/props I’ve not seen before. Even the clue system was whimsical! I’d recommend it for 2 strong players or 3-4 regular players. The space is too small for more than that.”

“For two people, this room is tough. I read previous reviews saying Magic Cottage was easy in terms of puzzles but for two of us there was a lot to do and the perfect amount of time to do it. The setting and set design is phenomenal. Though the second room is less stellar, I think that’s how many escape rooms are: your main set piece is more thought out leaving the end feeling rushed. That’s really my only complaint is not being able to use more in the second room. All the props are genuine and handmade. You really feel the passion and creativity the owners brought to the table. Some rooms nowadays rely on dreaded AI for art or voiceovers - Magic Cottage is real, human engineering at its finest and it floors me when I find places like this. Definitely play here if you haven’t yet.”

“There is so much in this room we had our typical group of 4 and we were on top of all the puzzles just there is a lot and we barely had enough time. It had a vibe of are you smarter than a 5th grader tv show. We would have been better if we had one more person in our group but we still got out. I recommend this room just make sure y’all talk a lot.”

“I had a fantastic time. I’m very much not good with scary rooms and this was more scooby doo/detectives/ghostbusters/gravity falls/goosebumps. No real jump scares when we went and we thought it was more funny than scary. But that can likely change based on who you get as your gm. I can definitely see how the game master can make or break this game. It’s also definitely a game where you get out the energy you put in. It’s very gm driven/heavy. We had Jon and we enjoyed our experience and had a good time! I didn’t think there were any too hard puzzles and they were all themed pretty well and fit with the story. LOTS of running around, and the game starts at the top of a set of stairs. I’ve never been this out of breath in a game in a hot minute.”

“#198. We did this room when it was themed to Frosty and most of it was familiar and we still had fun. There’s a whole lot to do in a small space. Ambient lighting made it immersive and was enough for us to see. The puzzles were pretty straight forward and easy for us enthusiasts. This is a great room for first timers! I just wish it expanded into other rooms, I wanted to keep going.”

Children friendly, not scary, wacky, lots of cool props and locks left and right. “I'm a BIG Escape Room 66 fan! Their sets are always so fun, well done, and colorful. Their puzzles go on and on and on, in a good way. Groups have tons to do, no matter how small or large they get. We did this in a group of 2 and it was a lot to do and we got nudges from our GM to ensure we kept pace against time to make it out successfully. It'd be fun for a larger group. The best make of a prison escape of any escape room.”

“Hell yeah dude. The room rips. Didn’t really have expectations going into it. I’ve done a handful of space themed rooms prior and not often are they my favorites but this one felt the most realistic and entertaining of the bunch. I think my team lucked out having only 4 because that seemed like the perfect number. Spaces weren’t too crowded but all puzzles went swimmingly with the brain power and cooperative nature of each step. The concept of destroying a spacecraft rather than fixing or rebuilding one gave the room a pleasing resolve and kept us engaged throughout.”

“What a lovely and fun story with wacky hijinks mixed in. It made me think of a silent movie plot, with a dastardly villain trying to foil a young couple. I particularly enjoyed the narration and how I felt like I was moving through the story both as a viewer and as a participant. Some really fun and satisfying "hands on" activities that felt very cool to do. As a group of two we completed the main story and were just one puzzle away from completing all the "bonus puzzles." After hearing about the last puzzle I am not sure if we would have ever gotten through it's many layers no matter how much time we had! 😂”

“Fun premise, on theme with actually having to "escape." Tech worked smoothly. On the easier side because there is pretty much a guide pointing to the puzzles that need to be solved, and the solutions are mostly entered electronically. Easy to get hung up at the start (in a good way) but flows quickly thereafter. There's enough to do that a group of 4 will each have something to solve while the others are working on something else.”

“HOLY FUN!! genuinely one of the biggest rooms i’ve ever done. hardest room at this location. we did it with two people and got out with 50 sec left with one puzzle bypass. it’s doable but definitely would suggest coming with at least 4 people. the puzzles are a bit worn down but i personally didn’t think it ruined the experience. the puzzles r a lot of decoding so if that’s not ur thing then probably pass on this room. when u think it’s over trust me…ITS NOT. so many cool surprises!! i will definitely be trying the other games here. so so fun and immersive!”

The puzzles are very logical and mostly linear. The theme is super fun and the story is great. Our game master was Dominic and he’s a magician himself so his passion for the story was evident. But overall, it wasn't too bad. I love the set design, I think that was the highlight for me. There was a bit of crawling that I didn't know about ... so I had to sacrifice my dress being dirtied, but that's my fault. 🙄😅 Overall, cute room and ... “Loved this one! Probably the best one so far (we’ve done 3), set super well made, atmosphere really nice. Nothing scary at all. Difficulty was medium hard I’d say? There were a few times you get parts of the clue but you don’t have all the things necessary to solve it yet. We didn’t know and spent a lot of time on it. There were quite a lot of combination locks in this room. A good blend of tech locks and traditional locks, I’d say! We were a group of 4 and got…2 hints? We finished with about 7min to spare. Our GM was super friendly and enthusiastic, spending time with us before and after telling us about other playthroughs, funny or memorable moments, etc! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! “This was our 100th game played! 🎉 It also made us (a group of two) feel like geniuses. We finished with 24 minutes to spare and while we didn't ask for any clues, we did have to be directed at something (we heard "something" move, but could not find it!) This game had some very clever cluing and a few multilayered puzzles too, which have become some of my favorite types of puzzles. We also very much liked their use of lighting to direct you, in mapping and in solving. This room also had extra puzzles to expand your experience if you finish fast. Our GM Rose was also good, and did a good balance of letting me (the adult) do some things, while helping along my son so he could do some puzzles himself. There are multiple “rooms” for the fun experience of “unlocking” more of the “map”. The puzzles are definitely on the easier side, which is why I said it’s great for beginners. There isn’t that many either so it’s easier to finish the game and get that hit of dopamine from achievement🤣 Our GM was amazing and spent time with us before and after chatting about fun or memorable moments, other playthroughs, etc! Thank you so much for the amazing experience! Not scary at all! No loud noises or jump scares. As always with Exodus, the staff are phenomenal and everything is run super smoothly. The room itself is a super fun non-linear start, which tasks players to start the room with a task that immediately immerses you in the story. I could see Haunted Terminal as a weird kid’s movie you’d find on VHS at a thrift store.
